Chem is not a prerequisite for several jc and poly courses, although it is certainly a prerequisite for many of the popular ones.<br /><br />Similarly, A level chem is not a prerequisite for several uni courses, although it is for the more popular ones. Hence i believe very few jcs are willing to offer Science stream combis that exclude chem.</p>

Physics can stand on its own, with some combination of Math, F Math, or Computing (or a second Arts subject).  I believe Bio has to be taken with Chem though, someone please correct if this is wrong.<br /><br />For the O/SEC students, one can also take combined science (CCHM has added this via the post above).
