Now during this CB period I was looking at some primary school reviews and chanced upon this post again. I would say my LO enjoyed her time in school. Plenty fun lessons and at the same time sufficient academic work to prepare for P1. In the mornings the teachers have live Zoom lessons to keep them busy while we are all working from home, gives me a breather while the children are occupied. Its better when the LO can go school, she always looks forward to see her friends, but difficult times call for lots of sacrifices from FTWMs like us

My daughter just started CC about 2 months ago but I have noticed quite high turnover rates for the teachers in the CC. Within the period of 2 months, 2 new teachers joined in replacement of 2 that have left. Both the principal and the director have not mentioned anything about their teacher’s movement to us parents at all and teachers leaving and joining were told by the teachers themselves. Is that the right protocol? Shouldn’t the principal keep the parents informed of the teacher’s movement/ reshuffling? Should I be concerned of the high turnover rate of the teachers?

My girl was there briefly - about 5 months. The place is new, clean, spacious. However, the management team is nice but they seemed inexperienced in managing the staff and the processes.

We liked the curriculum and felt our girl was learning well. However, she was injured 3 times in the span of 10 working days. First, she had a bruise in her forehead. Apparently they kids were in the gym, one teacher stepped out and there was no one to replace, 2 kids bumped into each other with bruises on both kids’ heads.

The next day she had a bruise on her cheek. She was at one corner of the classroom, spinning around on her own with no one stopping her despite a teacher being in the class. The teacher was attending to other students and simply let her be. She ultimately hit against the wall and had a bruise. We were later told that the teacher was a new one with no prior experience thus poor classroom management and there was no mentorship system to help this new teacher.

Few days later she had a cut from the mouth across the cheek. One of the teacher let her play with a toy with Velcro and when the toy came out of the mouth the Velcro cut her. Worse parts would be the teacher came up and said she had something interesting to show me which was the toy which cut my girl. Can’t understand how anyone would call the thing that cut their child interesting. Anyway, spoke to the director and he said that accidents happen. My girl was just unlucky.

That was the final thing that made us decided that safety cannot be compromised and pulled her out of the school.

All these happened when the school was fairly new in early 2014. Not sure if they have improved on their processes and staff development.

I wonder can she focus on teaching if she is so preoccupied with her parttime income… after work she has to make delivery to her customers. sweetlands should not allow n let this happened. better reconsider if u are sending your kids there.

My son will go for the trial session next week, looking forward, and also they allow you to free trial before u sign up, i think this is important because i encounter before CC will ask to pay full price for trial but after if stop also no refund, i dont really like that idea la
