I changed his school without much expectations because I had the mentality all schools are the same. The only reason why I changed his school was because he really disliked his previous school and was crying badly every morning. Since he started his new school, which has a low teacher student ratio, a strong curriculum and caring teachers, not only has he improved in his social skills, he has also became more independent and even started speaking his first few chinese words, which is amazing given that it has been just 3 months. If you are considering a Montessori School, I strongly recommend sunny bunny Montessori School located along Upper thomson. A little out of the way, but it is so worth it and there is transportation services too.

I just came back from the tour visit at MindChamps @ TPY and both my wife and myself are blown away by the facilities. The Senior Principal has been very patient in explaining to us the syllabus and the different programmes that they have.

Hi girlruhi! You can consider Maplebear Midview City which is part of the popular maple bear preschool chain... This is one of the earlier centres and have school bus service to and from Bishan as many of us live in the bishan, thomson area. Amazing and caring teachers and director who know every child by name... I would say good balance of learning through play and academics which not many preschools can achieve.. my kids enjoy school! :hi5:

Just want recommend the cc my kid has been attending since last year. Totsville Montessori at Ang Mo Kio. This centre was newly upgraded from previous unit few doors away. And with the upgrade, they are now offering full day/ half day cc service. Im not related to the business but i just find that its abit lonely for the PG & N1 class which my child is in. There are only 2 of them now. So most of the time their learning lesson is combined with N2 students. Generally i am happy with things that my kid is learning & she enjoys going to school. So i think they must be doing a good job to keep the kids happy there. I think they are now offering $100 off the school fee for a limited time sign up. So for those looking around for cc in AMK area, maybe can go check out Totsville.

So far very happy with the clean environment, quality of teachers and Chinese curriculum. They have experienced teachers, some previously from Pat's Schoolhouse and Mindchamps.

Everything is done very orderly, kids taken care very well. Their Curriculum is comprehensive and I don’t think further outside enrichment classes are required. Principal and teachers are very responsive and take feedback very well. My 2 kids are currently with the centre. The teachers and principal are very caring and I never had to worry about my kids in sch. The sch fees are inclusive of any enrichment they have. they just started having table tennis lessons! My son who has minimal exposure in Chinese can come home reciting Chinese poems and he can recognize Chinese words that he’s able to read 50% of a Chinese library book independently. I think it’s quite good and he’s only 3.5yrs old. those considering this sch should just go there for a visit and see for yourself.
