So long as
your kid comes under a DSA contract agreement been signed,

even if

your kid have scored AL 20,
MOE will still have to honor this DSA contract signed, made (accepted) between parents and that Secondary school concerned. Thus,
AL 20 is the maximum score accepted, under a DSA entry agreement.

Of course,
if u come under Non-DSA admission entry, that is, come via S1 posting, that is a separate matter. That will depend on what is the official PSLE Cut off point, for that particular school for Sec 1 admission, concerned.

My DD is in ANDSS sec 1 express this year. It’s already the 3rd week and i noticed there isn’t much homework given. Is this normal? Am not saying that homework equal to good school, just that it’s a bit weird when she come back from school daily without much homework. DD is lack of motivation without homework probably as she said the class is very slow pace compared to her primary school. Any parents gone through sec 1 in this school who can advise? Thanks.
