Anyone has good lobang for science classes for P3. Beside Formation center, where can I go for science.preferably in serangoon area.Which center has hands on lesson?Or which center has a lab?

He is a former MOE teacher turned tutor who has > 30 years experience. He has really helped my daughter develop the interest in science, and I am glad after 3 years of lessons with him, my daughter was able to get a AL1 in the subject (from a mid 60s when she started tuition with him in P4) !. Attached is one of her grades for a term paper last year before her PSLE.

The scores improved from AL6 to AL2 by the year end exam so it was very encouraging. This year we signed up for Math too for PSLE. The teachers there seem to know their stuff and looks quite experienced. My son this year doing PSLE and they have many programs to support the P6 students.

Pique Lab has no choice but to leave as Serene Centre will be converted to co-living apartments.

GR.ID mall does seem to be a bit out of the way and the selegie area isn't very kid-friendly.

But I heard the MacDonald's and other food outlets at the 1st floor of Serene Centre will be staying put.

Yes Teacher Ko was the academic director at Bluetree for many years. He joined Mr Xiao at Edify early last year. My P5 boy is having science tuition with them…Both teachers are good and friendly. Their lessons are engaging and kids like to come for their classes.
Thanks for the earlier recommendation. My 2 children just started classes at edify kovan branch under Teacher John and Teacher Jasmine. So far I feel reassured that the entire team seems to be quite capable and with PSLE marking experience. But more importantly, my children have been enjoying the lessons and don't need me to force them to go for tuition classes 🤣. I find the notes and keywords book particularly useful.

18 kids is way too many in one class. Even if it is physical class unless kids are there just to listen, copy answers and have someone to mark their answers.

Anyone can write Google reviews though, as long as they spend a few minutes to create an account.

Background: Child reads very widely, loves Science a lot but tend to lose marks in his Open ended questions section. Results of his Sci isn’t consistent. Ranges from AL1-4 but usually within AL2-3.

Hi.. i understand that majority of the science tuition centres are not able to cater to different schools topic sequence (other than Learning Lab), do you find this an issue or it is actually ok?
The older and more mature a child is, will be able to handle & juggle the mental “confusion” ok. By the time year-end exam or psle comes, they will need to know all the topics anyway.

I find it similar for those other subjects eg Math or Chinese where some centres teach so far in advance of the school textbook that the kids are basically juggling 2 different “tracks” in their brain: tuition track & school track 🤷

For Edify I know their worksheets crafted by MOE teachers. Seems to be middle to higher difficulty levels for both Math and Science. Some of the math heuristics super challenging. I found the keywords book and notes very useful for Science. Seems to be in line with the feedback given by teachers in school.
