<![CDATA[Favourite Instant Noodles]]>After all that heavy eating beginning from Friday night, we finally surrendered and had instant noodles for dinner last night. Sedap! Not healthy of course, and surely will lose hair (I’ll go check shower drain cover later). but, what’s your favourite flavour? Are there healthy ones?


Our two favourites are from Myojo, and none are healthy:
1. Prawn Noodles
2. Sambal Mee Pok

Actually I was hesitating dont quite feel like eating it..haha let's do it..go eat bao bao then got more energy la..later let dds eat comfort food too, a treat for today..this morning dds have double chocolate muffins so I told them that choc makes one happy de..dd2 says yeah, it also makes one more alert and one more cant remember now..then says but eat more will get fat..thereafter about reaching school, she told me that she starts feeling the effect of chocolate making her happy 😂

Noodles - those yee Fu noodles, yee mee , egg noodles , instant noodles - are also been processed like instant noodles . So are they all classify as unhealthy ?

seasoning wise - we try to use a bit for taste purpose& make own soup base or own dry noodles gravy with tomato sauce, dark sauce, own cooking oil .

If you leave the water used for cooking the noodles aside, you may see a layer of waxy/grease on the top and some residue in the soup as well. I dread to think that I have been eating these unknown stuff for so long!


These days I cook my noodles separate. More work but it seems less harmful.

Favourite is nongshim.

I wonder what brand is the korean eating place using. I find their noodles nicer! But I don’t eat korean noodles outside anymore because I think they don’t cook the noodles separately.

Recently, I stopped using the soup base. I make my own kimchi soup and add in the noodles. I like the texture of Korean ramen... so springy.

when we are younger and my family is not doing so well, my mum will cook tong yi instant noodles (its a green packaging with thin noodles) with an egg. So now i always eat it when i'm feeling nostalgic hahha otherwise, i like nongshim. Used to be a orange packaging but now they changed it to a red one.
