I think if you are going to report everyone of them, it is going to take you quite a while.

More attention is brought to them now because of dashboard cameras. I unfollowed a group on facebook that specialises in sharing them...

Need to correct some misinformation here. It was not a premonition. The letter she wrote was for a writing assignment. It's known as an Obituary Exercise. Might come across as morbid but the main objective is to reflect on one's life, how you want to lead your life, who are the ones that matter most to you and what you want to be remembered for.

I took this opportunity to remind my son NEVER to stand at the edge of the traffic post in case drivers lose control of the steering wheel while making a u turn.
those 3 pedestrians who died, when that 25 year old lorry driver drove up the kerb and killed them, were aged 86, 63 and 59.

86 - 63 = 23

63 - 59 = 4

what was the date of accident ? 23 / 4
scary, isn't it ?

And what was the sentence, for killing 3 pedestrians ?

Vehicle will have to approach this junction from a lower ground (Jalan Anak Bukit, behind Bukit Timah Plaza), before leveling off at the junction (on top of the 'tunnel'). Driver would not be able to spot vehicles on the side until nearer / at the junction. Vehicle would have to slow down and be positioned correctly in the turning pocket.

Red arrow - vehicle is also coming from a lower ground (Jalan Anak Bukit, behind Beauty World) before heading up to the junction and coming down the other side (towards Clementi Road). I seldom see vehicles slowing down because they always overestimate the required power heading up a slope.

Both vehicles would have limited visibility as they approach the slope / junction because the black shaded area is a void (tunnel below) and blocked by guide rails. Vehicles (red arrow) have to slow down while vehicles turning right (blue arrow) must check clear (if there are other vehicles turning right on the other, visibility can be worsen).
Ok. The blue arrow part is a slope but it's also bendy. Unless one drives like a racer, he can't really go very fast, especially if he wants to turn right into PIE. Also, you really have to stop if you want to turn coz it's a huge gap between the 2 directions. ..beneath that 'bridge' is a 2x2 lane carriageway. Definitely cannot chiong.

As for traffic coming along the red arrow, it's not as slopey as the other side. Maybe can chiong straight at odd hours but traffic is mostly slow. I think there's some work going on over there...the part near the junction now has a weird bend...Wonder if that affected everyone's judgement.

Anyway, I suppose when turning and view is blocked, better to wait for turning arrow. Of course oncoming cars can still beat red light but still safer.

The Commonwealth Avenue West meets Clementi Road junction where SST sites, where the incident occurred, that area is undergoing road widening. Hope the SST principal will speak to the school about road safety. Otherwise most other students (NUSH, NanHuaHigh, NUS, New Town Sec, other secondary schools) don't use that junction - popular crossing is a stone's throw along Commonwealth Avenue West @Blocks 365/410 bus stops. So I'd really be more concerned about SST kids.

mother and daughter are so close...her demise will affect her parents for the rest of their lives.

There were other NUS students sitting inside the same taxi, as Kathy. But she happen to sit on the extreme left seat, inside taxi, behind.

When the high speed car came crashing into her side, unfortunately, she was the one that was hit with the greatest impact. In a way, poor Kathy acted as an airbag, for those others also sitting behind.

If Kathy was sitting in the middle seat behind, then someone else would have died, instead of her.

Inside a taxi, the front passenger (beside the driver) and the extreme left hand side seat behind, are often dangerous seats.
