hello, my daughter is in P6 GEP next year and i would like to find out more about the nus high dsa selection test and camp. can anyone share what the test questions are like, eg. do they veer more towards gep syllabus or more toward olympiad type of questions? also what do the kids do in the selection camp? thank u.

My daughter has been selected for the NUSH Supplementary Intake 2025. We feel truly blessed and humbled by this wonderful news, which we received just yesterday.

From what I know of class of 2023 - more or less the same for med school entry in 2023/24
14 in YLL, 5 in LKC and 2-3 overseas
Appears YLL took in more girls (likely as per the entire YLL cohort ) and LKC usually slightly more or balanced with boys.

You can check the Programme of Studies by cohort to see if there was any change. For some time now and even during DS cohort which has already graduated, they had to do Math & Triple science from day 1 ,and computational thinking CS 1311 from year 1 sem 2.

I assume you are referring to pre-med. Yes, the students are up the alley as it is the only school in SG which allows them to take triple science, together with math as majors.

HKU also comes to town to court the NUSHigh grads to their medical school - I heard that interview is conducted Before inviting them to apply.
They also hv alumni in Seoul University Med. Graduating cohorts maintain a master document who applied where etc so juniors should be able to see this information if they ask the counsellors.

You are mistaken.
NUS High is only a Secondary school, from aged 13 to aged 18.
Maximum age of students here, is only up to aged 18.

NUS High is Not a university. So, how can it be a medical school, here ?

If u are looking for a university, should check out NUS itself, and not NUS High.

To answer the second part of your qn, u should check out yourself. Do some basic background homework -

Nope, PC1331 is Robotics enrichment and CM1331 is Chemistry Potpourri. They're enrichment classes i.e. basically courses for students to have fun in (electives are the extra classes that are academic like olympiads, computer science, et cetera). Also, you can't accelerate these courses so if you take PC1331 in P6 then you can only take PC1332 (Robotics II) in the 2nd semester of Year 1. NUSH typically doesn't accelerate many students for the science core courses (which are the actual academic courses) and there are typically only 1 or 2 if there are any at all, unlike Maths where you can have up to 20+ accelerated students.

Thank you for clarifying. Yes, for enrichment like potpourri etc, there is still opportunity to elect these when in Y1. Just have hv fast fingers as it’s first come first served.
My previous posts referred to accelerated modules in core subjects. Yes, agree math is typically the accelerated module and I find it there are pros and cons. This is the subject which the students have early exposure to and so if they start specialising, they may not hv the bandwidth to explore the other core subjects. From observation, I see quite a few start strong in math and then burn out in later years. Then, there are the students who were just given space to explore everything then selected for extra training when the core subject grade is good … these then actually find the new science or CS passions and do very well too.

Was your child in IMSO team? Otherwise these courses fill up pretty fast. I applied within few hrs for Robotics last year but couldn’t get it. Heard Chemistry one is fun too.
