RE: [Choa Chu Kang] Primary Schools
I suspect why more have chosen unity is due to the location as it’s near to thier home or care giver. CCK crescent is consider a newer area around CCK, where couples bought the flat and starts their family. In Aug 2004, government declares an increase of maternity leave which may result a slight increase in birth rate which results more family opting for unity. But accessing to the school may be difficult for those staying at Blk 690 there unless the family drives or getting school buses as the only shuttle bus goes in one direction. Of course I may be wrong

My boy got in Unity, as well as all his friends :rahrah:
His name was called twice, but I was
before his ballot slip was picked.
To all those who were unsuccessful, wish all the best. I believe all children deserve education regardless who they are....
See you on 29th Oct! -

RE: [Choa Chu Kang] Primary Schools
I was told out of 138 applicants for CCKPS, 130 applicants falls into <1KM. All 130 <1km will get the seats and the remaining 8 applicants will need to ballot for the remaining 1 seat. Is this how it works or should all 138 applicants ballot for the 131 seats?

[quote=\"mcmd\"]unity -105 within 1km and 2 between 1 to 2km...so confirm ballot within 1km and more than 1km have to drop out to other.

We have to call the school to know the figures like how many applicants are within 1km? Hope my neighbour will not need to go through the balloting :xedfingers: -

RE: [Choa Chu Kang] Primary Schools
Thankyou buds for replying to ksunflower. Of course the comment I made is not useful because personally my child is not from any of those schools. Like what you say, its just a hearsay thing I gather from another mommy. Of course I would love to hear feedbacks from Unity as well since I’m sending my child to Unity and race is not a factor in my decision making. But sadly no one replys about this school and I’m new to this forum. I’m aware SV has a topic of its own, but what about Unity PS? Could you advise where I could find more information and feedbacks about this school?

RE: [Choa Chu Kang] Primary Schools
If it’s phase 2C, for those staying 1-2km from school, when should they register? Any of the 3 days or after? Even though the results are not out yet? Keep calling school to ask the results? Please advise

I'm not sure if my comment is useful but I was told unity has more Malay than Chinese. A mummy I've known, prefers yew tee due to that reason. So it might depends on your preference as well.Hi,
Anyone have comments ? Unity and Yew Tee, which one is better and why?
