Hi forum users and readers! Business owners and app creators are welcome to share relevant services, but please be transparent about your connection to them. Please do not pose as a parent asking for recommendations and then use another account to promote or endorse your own service. Genuine questions, experiences and disclosures help everyone make better-informed decisions. This community works best when we contribute openly and honestly. Thank you for helping us keep it useful and trustworthy for everyone!

Hi all, this is from the KiasuParents Team: we’re not banning or deleting advertiser posts, unless it’s really obvious that someone is posing as a parent but spinning a story to drop a link to their business. In fact, as parents, we would rather have business owners chat with us authentically, letting us know what the value proposition is, and answering our questions.

Am reviving this chat, in case there are SAHMs here who would like a support network. I was always a wfh mom; my youngest is in sec school now! I’m from the editorial field so it has always been easier to find home-based work. The early motherhood days were a bit lonely for me, as not many people in my social circle were married, and even fewer had kids. But there were a lot of informal groups at the time, such as moms who would arrange to meet at play spaces, or moms who would host learning events in their home. I guess now we would call these “third spaces,” and it helped a lot. If there are other stay-home or wfh moms here, do pop in to chat!

Hi everyone, I’m new to this group. I’m interested in applying for membership with Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan (SHHK), but the application requires sponsorship from two existing SHHK members. May I ask if any parents here are SHHK members and would be willing to sponsor my application? My child will be registering for Primary 1 in 2028, so I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance. Thank you very much in advance!

Hi everyone. I’m mainly interested in P1 registration, family activities and useful local resources around Singapore. Hope to learn from everyone and join in where I can.
