      Dear parents,

Please take note if you put yr kids in BASC:

      1. If yr kid is stupid or slow, please engage tutor to help yr kid in schoolwork. Child care centre do not provide tutor service for BASC.

      2. If yr kid declare no homework to the teacher in charge, please blame your kid, do not push all the blame to the teachers or centre.

      3. If you are not happy with the centre, just quit and leave.

      4. If you do not believe what the teacher complain about your kid, please bring your kid to other centres. It imply no trust on the teacher.

If you trust the school, please shut up and pay the school fee. DO NOT BLAME everything to the school.

The school accept feedback but pushing the blame to the teacher due to your kid laziness and stupidness is unacceptable.

      Hi, Bolster,

What is BASC? Really I dont know the meaning.

To Whom It May Concern, please mind the strong words used in the above. Your intention may be noble but mind the manner in which the information is disseminated. This is an online portal so be judicious in using the right words in making your point. Let this be the last time.

Hi, in my opinion i think that a good BASC should emphasize on not just disclipine but also in terms of their daily plan. From what i know, many tuition centre only ask the children to do homework and after that they are free to play.

If a child spend 4 hours there daily, i think it is very important to make sure they are making good use of their time.

My friend send her dd to a BASC in a tuition centre and she told me that they teachers there will make use of the time by making them finish their work then conduct lesson for the children.

The lesson can be english, maths or science. My friend still say they have two teachers and they are off different subject specialise.

I think BASC should really emphasize more on how to make use of their time rather then just asking kids to do homework and homework.

                Hi,

I have a friend (a former teacher from a reputable school) who is operating a student care in the Katong area. Her current centre in Roxy is full and is expanding her centre to Katong. You may like to check it out coz in my opinion, it's hard to find a centre with a \"real\" teacher running it. I know her centre will be ready only in Sept. If u interested, drop me an email. 🙂 Good Luck!

Hi, Any good student care to recommend around Marine Parade area?

Does any parent know and can provide feedback on the BASC at the Marine parade Town Council? How about Kinderland at Marine Parade Central?

Which is a better one for guiding children to do homework and give them assessments?

Hi, just to let you know that we are Dewdrops Student Care Center situated at Haig Road near Tanjong Katong. Do visit our website http://www.dewdrops.com.sg to see how we can help. Thanks.

Can any parent share their experience of BASC at Ananias Centre or Little Professor Clementi?

Sorry…hijack this thread. I’ve 2 kids in BASC. Do I have to pay for the full BASC fee for the month of Dec if my children didn’t go to the student care centre the whole month?
