Yes, you can do PV for many schools as you wish,but you could only register one school in 2B, so eventually you still need to make up your mind. 17 mths probably too early, you may call the school to check when you should submit the form. My girl born on 2004, i called last year, and they told me to get the from in by May this year, and I had received the reply on Jun, but so far no matched job yet.

Actually it is not true that FTWMs cannot do PV work. Some schools have PV activities that fall on weekends, or those that can clock a few hours stretch at a time. Or those overnight camp that even count the night hours. In that way u can fully utilise ur leave to clock the 40 hours easily. Best to check with the school their type of PV activities instead of rejecting the PV option outright just becoz u are a FTWM.

Just one question, i studied in Temasek pri for 4 yrs before changing to another sch coz parents shifted pl.. Do i still qualify for phrase 2A if i need to register my gal there?

Yes u do qualify under 2A.

Is red Swastica under any clan or associations? Is there any other ways besides doing PV to secure the slot under phase 2B? I’m worried that we might be gg overseas and nt being able to secure the slot. Appreciate yr reply. Thanks!

Just read this thread.

Was quite surprised no one answers enquiries about Fengshan.

My two children are studying in this school.
They are doing very well there under the close supervision of the teachers.

The teachers that I have worked with, ( I believe in maintaining close contacts with the teachers so that I know how my children are faring ) are very professional and friendly.
They will always update me on how my children are faring.
When I have a question or problem, I will send an email to the relevant teacher and I will get a reply in a day.
When I called to speak to the teacher, I will always be assured that I will get to speak to her. Even if she is not around when I called, there is always a return call from her. This applies to all other teachers whom I have kept in contacts with.
You can even speak to the principal if there is a need and she is always ready to listen and helps.

They do emphasize not only on academics but also the holistic well-being of the children.
Check out the school website for past years PSLE results and other achievements.

I appreciate and believe that as educators, they must be passionate in their job and love their job.

Till today, I am most pleased to know my children are in good hands and I have never regretted putting my two children in FSPS.

Hi!

What do you mean by \"secure\" a place in the school. There is no way you can \"secure\" a place in the school unless your child is in Phase 1 and, usually, Phase 2A.

There is no such thing as \"secured\" slot even if you are a PV or a member of the clan/association/church, etc.

In addition, what is your understanding of the P1 registration process. Am curious from your sentence \"I'm worried that we might be gg overseas and nt being able to secure the slot.\". Perhaps you would like to read the MOE website for more information on the registration process? Just because you are physcially in Singapore doesn't secure you a place in any school other than Phases 1 and 2A.

OK. Now that you have clarified. It was a different meaning when I read your last post. That's why I started off by asking you what you meant by securing a slot. I further went on to clarify that even if you were a PV or clan member, there was no such thing as \"secure a slot\" because to me, slot = place. So, if my interpretation was not correct, it has something to do with my English standard and level of understanding. You didn't have to :x and :nunchuk: , right?

Dear jerejoy, if you re-read qms' reply you should see that there no evidence of any malice or contempt at all. It is clear that she is trying to explain that:
1. There is no guarantee that one can win a place in the School even if one registers in Phase 2B, and
2. There is no guarantee that one can even get to register in Phase 2B even if one is a PV or member of a clan.
3. Being in Singapore doesn't exactly improve your chances of getting through the P1 registration process.
4. You should go to the MOE website if you are looking for official information.

The above are factually correct. Perhaps you already know all the above, and all you want to know is whether Red Swastica has other avenues to get into Phase 2B, but your response to her post is inappropriate and unfair to her attempt to help you.
