I guess its ok if its not obvious, school shouldn't be checking and making noise about this.

I'm definitely going to sew a loop or attach an additional button inside the pants!

Great Idea..! I will sew a loop then. Either attach it in his bag or his shorts. So mummy here giving them coin purse or card holder with zip for coins?[/quote]wah,, really very kiasu lei..

when i was at henry park 23 years ago, 30 cents in pocket and off we go ... :xedfingers:

I just went to the school over the weekend to buy the books and uniform - amongst the forms we were supposed to complete, there was a survey on whether we were interested in a student care in the school grounds...and I also noticed a directional signboard in the school pointing to the student care centre - maybe the school has one after it's renovation?

You should call the school to find out.

Any parents here can share what are the latest trends for English or Chinese story books ? My kid is going P2 and i want to expose him to more variety of books other than

                - Geronimo stilton
                - Diary of wimpy kid
                - Roald dahl

I know some kids at P1 already can read Harry Potter, but i think i’ll probably hold that off till late P2 or P3.

Every kid is different, the important thing is to inculcate a love of reading/books. As long as they're reading a book, it's not wrong!

To clarify, my kid loves reading those books, just that i want to expose him to more variety and is asking what parents here are providing for the kids.

My son read almost everything... I happen to see this at far east and both kids love it,, younger in p2. Secret Series - pseudonymous bosch. BOX of 5.

Lighter books - try Norby books by Isaac Asimov recommended by my younger boy's principal (diff school)

                        :siam:
