I guess its ok if its not obvious, school shouldn't be checking and making noise about this.

I just went to the school over the weekend to buy the books and uniform - amongst the forms we were supposed to complete, there was a survey on whether we were interested in a student care in the school grounds...and I also noticed a directional signboard in the school pointing to the student care centre - maybe the school has one after it's renovation?any parents send your kids to Ulu Pandan Student Care @ Blk 3 Ghim Moh Road ?

Any parents here can share what are the latest trends for English or Chinese story books ? My kid is going P2 and i want to expose him to more variety of books other than
- Geronimo stilton
- Diary of wimpy kid
- Roald dahl
I know some kids at P1 already can read Harry Potter, but i think i’ll probably hold that off till late P2 or P3. -

Every kid is different, the important thing is to inculcate a love of reading/books. As long as they're reading a book, it's not wrong!Any parents here can share what are the latest trends for English or Chinese story books ? To clarify, my kid loves reading those books, just that i want to expose him to more variety and is asking what parents here are providing for the kids.

My son read almost everything... I happen to see this at far east and both kids love it,, younger in p2. Secret Series - pseudonymous bosch. BOX of 5.
Lighter books - try Norby books by Isaac Asimov recommended by my younger boy's principal (diff school)
