Then will pull down total score which is e 1st criteria.
doom ! weakest in chinese..phtthp:
Nan Chiau have china students.
Make sure your child's Chinese is strong, to enter top few classes.
They work very hard on English, to pull their grades up.
Actually I didnt prepare #1 for anything. No enrichment, no preparation class, no hypy camp, no assessment bk,n till now p4 no tuition.
Just follow e teachers' pace n b consistent, try his best, n dont bsick n careless.
I was v strict w his handwriting in lower pri bcos I want him to respect e efforts of teachers setting e assignments n spending time to mark. Hopefully, this will set a tone to his learning attitude.
Now I leave him b most of e time, w reminders on spelling n tingxie. I need him to b an independent learner so if he stumbled n lost his advantage along e way but learnt his lessons, it's fine. -
Wan ask if P3 will hav CCA? Is it a must and which day will be held? Different CCA will be on different day or will most be on the same day? Trying to fix enrichment classes… but worry timing will clash.
Also P1 orientation letter, when can expect? Thanks in advance. -

As far as the last two years are concerned, I think most CCAs I know are on Wed's afternoon.Wan ask if P3 will hav CCA? Is it a must and which day will be held? Different CCA will be on different day or will most be on the same day? Trying to fix enrichment classes.... but worry timing will clash.

I know of a P5 student who has externally completed P6 Math syllabus and completed P6 Math assessment books too. My jaws dropped and it's amazing, looking at Nan Chiau standard. This is kiasu but it will help the child a lot when the child sit for final year paper in P5.
He must be very strong in Math to do advance learning. All kids have different abilities & different strength. My son is strong in Math but weak in Chinese. Whereas, his best friend is strong in Chinese but weak in Math. Don't have to compare & give unnecessary pressure to your child & yourself. -
Students have different starting points. Not all will have the same interests and natural abilities to learn mathematics. Some will find it enjoyable; others will find it challenging. Some will find the theorems and results intriguing; others will find the formulae and rules bewildering.

how to prepare my child who will be in P1 next year to ensure she is in top 3 classes? if it's base on maths result.. any advise? enrichment?
No ranking or streaming for P1 & P2. Class distribution is probably by balloting. Any amount of preparation will not guarantee you a place in 1A - 1C. Moreover, these 3 classes are not consider as top classes. All classes are make up of mixed abilities. Streaming is only done at the end of P2. That is where allocation of classes base on results take place. -
Anyone out there rec’d the orientation letter fm NCP? I have rec’d yesterday & my girl is being posted to 1J.
