My son is considering St. Gab as one of his choices for secondary sch selection. He likes the culture of the sch but main concern is the academic performance which is not provided on their website.

Info on the selection booklet states that highest score of affiliated students admitted from St Gabrielโ€™s Pri is only 223 last yr.

We are curious as to why their boys fr affiliated pri sch with 224 T score above not choose St Gabโ€™s?

Hope parents or alumni of the sch can enlighten us.

                Hi Eyktay,

Which year is your DS in? My DS is in Sec 1 this year.

Is your son enjoying school so far? How's the environment and discipline?

Looking forward to your sharing. ๐Ÿ˜„

He has enjoyed school so far though Sec 1 is more challenging with the increase number of subjects.

I also took the opportunity to volunteer in the Parents Support Group to know the school more. Wanna join too?

The teachers are supportive, environment is good too.

                    Hi.

                    Thanks for the reply. ๐Ÿ™‚

ya, it is definitely more challenging with the sharp increase in the number of subjects. i hope my son can cope well. :xedfingers:

i'm afraid i don't have the time to volunteer in the PSG as i have a full time job. how often do you need to go to school to attend the meetings/activities?

I'm also a working mum of 3 with no maid.
Volunteer when you can. They have monthly meetings but just spare whatever time you have so you can bond with your teenage son more. Activities wise also, spare whatever time you have, not compulsory to attend all la.

Were you at PIE night & Orientation?
