Yes, there is one nearby. One of the student in my DS class goes there after school.I believe is within walking distance from school.

Hi, the nearest is The Kidz Club at Lorong Kilat, 33 Kilat Centre. Phone no. 64646468.

My son used to go there then stopped when I decided to stay home. Pretty decent place. They provide transport to the Kidz Club after school at a fee.

I’m contemplating putting my child in BTPS. Is it a good school? How’s the discipline of the students there? Are there many bullies in the school? How does the school handle such cases?

Hi ToughLfeMummy (interesting nick you have),

Thought I would attempt to answer your questions, but in a generic way as I’m not sure if your child is p1 or a transfer case.
Whether it is a good school - "good" in itself is subjective. If you are looking for one that is academically exciting, challenging, with lots of people, then BTPS is not one of them. If you are looking for somewhere small, cozy, where children are generally happy and given opportunities whether you are the top guys or not, it could be the place for you. In fact, my DS love his school, teachers and friends so much that he decided to forgo his chance to go to a "better" school next year (and with us supporting his decision)… that’s a different long story altogether.
Discipline wise / bullying - it being a small school in a private estate would roughly indicate the type of children studying here. I find discipline here ok, but my contact with the children is quite minimal. Bullying-wise my DS has never been bullied (except a long time ago in P1) as he is tall and big for his age. But I heard of some cases of bullying in school buses. How my mum handled it then was talk to the bus
driver and make arrangement for DS to sit near the front of the bus, and the "bullying" stopped. It may be more prudent to teach children how to respond to bullies, and to stand firm, but also learn to walk away when necessary.
                      Hope it helps, somewhat.

                        Dear all BTPS parents,

The school year has ended and if you have school uniforms that your son and/or daughter have outgrown and would like to give away, please consider donating it to orphans in Cambodia who need the following:

                        1. Blue shorts/skirts
                        2. PE attire

If you can collectively gather these I would very much appreciate it! Please drop me a private message if you can. Thanks!
