Hi,
Does it mean that the higher the cut off point for the secondary school, the better is the school? Thanks in advance.
Any one has any interesting Science or English magazines to recommend for Sec 1 ? Believe they should have outgrown from young scientists and discovery box. -

Hi, please advise if there will be any subjects common to express and IP stream ? If so, what are they?
Are you referring to schools with both express and IP streams? Or just a general question about the differences?
I would like to know about the difference in the subjects syllabus they learn and recommended books -

Why a school is more popular than another is subjective.. -

I would like to know about the difference in the subjects syllabus they learn and recommended books[/quote]I think IP schools differ as most design their own curriculum. However, MOE does have guidelines, so the same basics will be covered, but may be in a different order, pace, under different names etc. In terms of subjects, both express and IP cover the same areas, but I don't know about the details.slmkhoo:

Doesn't mean higher cut off point means the school is better but parents like to believe that. So everyone goes for the school with higher cut off point, making it popular, creating a higher cut off point. Vicious cycle.Hi,

Do more past year papers, consolidate concepts with teacher/tuition. Do not get too stressed, especially when child is only P5

Hi Parents,
I want suggestion/idea from P6 kid’s parents regarding this matter. My friend’s son got selected to NUS through DSA 2014 and he just sit his PSLE. He has done all subject well and we didnt analyse much about his answers and just discussed about few questions which discussed in this forum.
Now we have to take the decision on accepting NUS offer by this 24th. But son dreaming of getting in to RI. So that we may need to wait till we get the PSLE results. only our worry is, in any case if he couldnt get above RI cut off marks, then we already lost NUS offer and need to think about other school.which may depress to son.
Is there any parents came across this situation or if anyone can give me any suggestion or idea will be a great help.
Thanks
