        Hi,

Dd came back excitedly yesterday saying that she has been selected for gymnastics. Question: is this a CCA or will it be taught during PE?

Second question, she kept telling me no need to bring grammar text book or work book or word bank. So far, no letters or notes from.English teacher…so I’m curious what are they learning during EL class?

depend on who told her she been selected for Rhythmic gymnastics (RG)

If told by Cca Training coach (China coach) -
maybe she been selected for RG school team, if she had been learning RG, since N2 to K2 / or K1 and K2, training for junior RG competition, show talent in gymnastics.

But if told by PE Tr -
and she has no prior or little RG training background before, but with a nimble movement, slim athletic body figure built suitable for RG, possible that she has been approached, to join RG Recreational team.

perhaps may ask your daughter which Tr told her this, then call up that specific Tr who gave her the info, find out more.

          for P1 English -
Tr use Stellar worksheets, divide students into small group discussion, through active drama class group lively participation like creative story telling during English lessons, teach our P1 pupils grammar, vocabulary.
We never use "Word Bank" book, nor Grammar Textbook nor workbook.

closer to Term tests called "Review Assessment", English Tr return all worksheets to parents, help child revise grammar & vocab.

School preparing Semester 1 Timetable (Jan to June) schedule, weightage of Assessment.
Once ready, Form Tr will email parents.

School preparing schedule for Parents Curriculum briefing.
          Soon, info will be ready.

Phtthp, thanks! She has never done RG before. Only ballet. She said it was a Chinese speaking teacher. The english teacher brought them to the hall; they were told to jump without bending knees, splits, bridges and cartwheels.

Ok so now I can stop nagging her to bring English books!! Haha.:)

Been fetching my gal from gate 3 but find it not so weather proof esp need to bring the younger child along. Find it quite a hassle to carry umbrella and hold on to the children. Thinking if i should pick her up from the foyer but the jam seems quite bad in the evening. How long it normally takes to clear the students from the foyer? Understand cars can only go in 640 to 645pm. Also will we be able to test it out for a week given that we have alr indicated to teachers that collection be at gate 3.
