      Finderskeepers:
Here are 3 more tips on tackling the grammatical traps!

      4. subject verb agreement: neither/ either of
Following the rule for questions with of:
      1. Box up 'of'
      2. Look at 'neither' (which means none) and 'either' (which means one)
      3. Hence the answer will always be singular

Neither of the horses is ill.
Neither of the twins wants the cake.
Either of the boys has the keys.

      5. subject verb agreement: neither...nor/ either... or
I often ask my children whether they see the word \"of\" used with neither and either. If they do not, then we will look at the noun/pronoun before the blank to determine the answer.

Neither the boys nor Jane is at the fair.
Neither Jane nor the boys are at the fair.
Either you or your parents were driving yesterday.
Either Wendy or I am helping the old folks.

      6. Clauses giving extra information (e.g. Ben, as well as his brothers, is happy.)
Do not be confused by these extra information! simply cancel away the extra bits and your answer will be clear as crystal.

Ben, as well as his brothers, goes to school every day.
Mr and Mrs Tan, together with their son, were cooking for the party.
My brother, along with his classmates, is at the park now.

Simple tips that will make a big difference 🙂 all the best!
      Thank you so much

Hi, My son did his PSLE in 2013. Back then , I have prepared a lot of Maths, Science and Chinese Oral powerpoint slides for him based on past years exam papers. The answers are provided steps by steps with explanations. I did this powerpoint slides as a less stressful help for him since he is already stressed up by school and tuition homework plus extra practices we imposed on him. It took me a very long time to do this and it covers all chapters for Maths and Science. I am giving this free to families who are too poor to afford tuition for their kids and do not have the knowledge to help their kids. I will burn the slides into a CD/DVD and you will have to come and collect it yourself.

This is only for poor families. If you can afford, then I will request that you pay. The money collected will then be donated to a charity that helps poor families. Ignore me if you have the slightest doubt about my sincerity. In fact, I am hesitant about doing this since I do not even know if it is legal. But the charity part and the materials are real and sincere.
Note: I will only do this when I am free and I will stop this as and when I please.

Hi, I’m new to this but I need serious help! My p6 girl did very badly for math and science in the SA2. She’s having tuition in those home group tuition but her grades are not improving. Can someone recommend a GOOD and affordable learning center? I’m staying at Jurong West St 91. Thanks in advance!
