Thank you so much!Hogwarts.Alumni:
Hi! I was posted to Anderson Secondary School but I appealed to Temasek Junior College and I think I may have a good chance of getting in. However, although I have done my research, I don't know much about the school as I did not manage to attend their open house . Is it really compulsory for every student to take higher mother tongue? What time are students usually dismissed? Are students really stressed? How are marks awarded? Any answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

A rough idea of ip1 dismissal time in 2015
- mon 4pm
- tue 3pm
- wed 1pm but have cca till 3++
- thu 12nn
- fri 2pm but have cca till 3++
No need to go back on sat.
Stress level depends on individual students. Generally environment not as stifling competitive as cohort size is small. -

2016 : Total, how many IP Sec 1 classes ?
Each Sec 1 class : how many students ?
25 or 40 pupils, per class ?
How is the Sec 1 class allocation, done ?
go by T-score, or go by Sports / Arts Cca ( for those who enter by DSA) ? -

There are 5 classes, Each class about 30 students.
DSA is through academic only, not through any sports to Arts.
Allocation of class I presume is done randomly, not by T scores. -
how many JAE students armed with O level results, is Temask JC taking in, this coming batch ?

Hi parents of TJCians,
is there a need to purchase a printer for home use? My Dd mentioned that one of the teacher had requested them to print out the slides for tutorial use and am just wondering if this will be an ongoing thing to print out all slides or its just this once?
Thanks in advance!

My DD did mention it to me too. Though I hv a printer at home I think we will over use. It seems they can print in school. If I m not wrong itβs 10cents per paper

Printing of slides, reports, or pics for projects are quite regular. Get one from popular bookstore - it's less than $100. There is also cheap way to get toner too. -
