Hi All! Any mummy with kids in P3 next year? May I know what's the best class arrangement for this school? My girl will be transferring in next year.

This time round, the kids will be split into two groups (based on their primary 2 results). The top half will then be randomly grouped into the 4 classes. There's no \"best class\" per se. I personally think that's a good idea πŸ™‚

That's good. Cause in her current sch there's class which consist of top student. So unsure how NCPS arrangement is as we r new there.
I think they used to do that..but that has been changed from next year onwards. My boy will be at 3B(Responsibility) (they also just started attaching values to the class names )..how about your daughter?

Hi, Any one know what is class achievement award? Is it given to the top 3 students in the class?

I think is given to top 5 students in each class. My girl's class has 5 students awarded class achievement. They are based on their overall marks.

For labelling the books with our kids name, are we allowed to use name label? Or we can only use marker etc?

Anything will do. Label, marker, pen etc.

Hi.. So in summary, may I know what documents to bring to the orientation?

How much cash to bring for the books and uniform?
My gal is going to 1G

It said bring approx. $370 for uniform & books

Can't be so much. All books in maybe 100 plus, uniforms and socks are not ex...so why need 370? In my 6 years of experience there for my son, worst case wont exceed 250. For books list, optional ones don't buy unless teacher requested later, else will be wasted.

                      Hi All,

My child is also transferring to NCPS next year.
Will the teachers give their students a lot of homework?
Heard that there are frequent class test, is that true?
Let me share my overall experience with a son in NCPS for 6 years. Btw he just graduated.

The homework is a necessary evil, though comes with much heart pain and stress, esp for parents who are busy or children not having tuition outside. I would say NCPS is really a good school in making sure the kids acquire the necessary knowledge and able to perform to a min standard. And kids are like sponge, they will be ok with parents' support. That explains why NCPS can achieve 100% passes year after year and churn out confident students. I would say even if kids don't attend any tuition outside, they are well prepared by NCPS at the end of the day. So no worries and enjoy the journey with your kids,
