Feel uncomfortable when they reach puberty where armbip hair develops?cindylauper:
Anyone knows what tye of sweater/jacket is allowed? Since her uniform is sleeveless, the air-con bus she takes to school can be a bit chilly.
Yeah, why must the school come out with a sleeveless uniform ?
Don't the girls feel uncomfortable ?

I just wanted to know if SCGS is a good choice for my daughter to go next year. She’s from a non-affiliated neighbourhood school and is seen as being reserved and quiet by most people. This is because she has been bullied by a number of girls in her primary school and she has lost many friends. But she’s academically excellent and she doesn’t wish to go to MGS or RGS because she would like to be in a slower-paced environment. She gets along with people really easily if they’re nice to her. She’s the top scorer for English every year since she was in primary 1 and she is very good in mathematics and science too. Her Chinese is a little weaker than English but she manages to score As and even A*s. She scores either distinction/merit for HMT. It’ll take her about 45min to travel to SCGS via public transport (and she doesn’t mind it because we have traveled there before for the open house). It takes her only 15min if she travels by our car but some days I may need her to use public transport. I’m expecting her to score at least 265< for PSLE. Please reply.

2016 PSLE results will be out tomorrow, Thur (24 Nov 2016), around noon-time.
you may consider the following, during evaluation -
1)\tChoose Secondary schools, that are comparable to your child’s academic ability, so that she can cope, & that gives her the confidence. If you choose the Right school for your daughter, she will continue to grow, and to \"glow\" (or shine, in studies, Cca and her character values).
http://mindtots.com/5-helpful-tips-in-choosing-the-right-secondary-school-for-your-child/
Include a range of schools, in the selection -
Rank order of choices (School)
1st & 2nd choices : Cut-off above her T-score (no more than 5 points)
3rd – 4th choices : Cut-off within her T-score
5th – 6th choices : Cut-off below her T-score
Do not place your hope on appeals, after PSLE release of results.
Exercise CHOICES wisely
2) your Child’s personality / character
3) Distance
4) consider SCGS Sec school programmes & school culture
5)\tAffiliated to any Junior college, for \"A\" level ?
(if any)
If your daughter choose SCGS (IP) programme, then she is affliated to Eunoia Junior College for \"A\" level, in Year 5 and 6.
for Sg born citizen children, school fees is around $300 per month, at SCGS Sec

Hi
Just want to check how many children are there generally who take mother tongue tamil( in Umar Pulavar center), since they don’t teach language during school hours wanted to find out how the girls generally manage. -
I heard Tamil is still conducted in school premises though not stated. Why not give a call to the General Office.

Oh!! U r right. Called the school and they said they are teaching in the school for the last 2 years. Wonder why such information are not available in the booklet. Have included this school also as a choice. Thanks. Will wait for the outcome

SC is a good school, but I definitely wouldn't consider it slower paced in comparison to MGS. -
