my maid is also alone at home in the daytime. so we only give her hp about 9pm. she also asked about wifi but i dont give her. so i think these adds up to unhappiness so now she dont want work for me already.

my prev maid i gave her hp in the daytime she end up taking sexy photos at home when no one is at home. i dont want it to repeat again. yes they will promise to use the phone after chores finish but is v difficult to control…even for us we also keep looking at our phone. if the phone is really affecting their work and the safety of your children and your maid dont seem repentful, then you can consider changing…although i know change is not easy! i am having dreams about my new maid already!

Well said that’s what we employers, are, facing. Changing maid is one option but agency fee is steep and having to bear the risk of next new maid turn out the same. Best is to gradually go maidless when the children are older.

How long your current maid lasted with you before raising the issue of transfer. Transfer we employer need to pay her food and lodging and levy at losing end too.

These, days maids hardly can complete 2 years contract they just transfer as and when they like.

My previous maids don’t dare to ask me for Wi-Fi password boldly this new maid ask me directly 2 months here. The previous Maid only use HP at night but of course daytime also use without you knowing so close one eyes.But cannot do at expense of children safety. They used to caused my children to hurt themselves when she use HP while out with them.

Mine worked for me for 1.5years. Contract finishing in aug… Then 2 weeks ago say dont wan work liao pay too low and work too much. she say i either buy a ticket for her back or let her transfer to an agent she found herself who told her she can fetch higher pay now. i agreed to increase her pay but i ask her if she will recontract in august. she say no she will jus work now till aug. So i thought might as well change now else around june i also have to start sourcing. plus now i know she is not unhappy, the feeling is not right already. so i decided to change now. waiting for my new maid to come in march. but ur maid sound demanding. want hp and nap. does she look after bb at night?

My child sleep through the night no need to wake up. For a maid who never come to Singapore before to work I find her demanding.

She simply refused to follow instructions despite numerous reminder.

How do you get your maid to follow instructions.

Aware has a dental clinic for maids. Highly subsidised.

Borne by employers but I think dental service for aesthetic reason is excluded.

Actually it all boils down to the maids attitude.if I talk to my maid nicely and she still don’t follow instructions, means she is not interested to work for u. then can probably think of changing maid liao. Worse if she give u black face or attitude. keeping them is just a time bomb.

Congrats to parenthood.Is it your first baby. Will your wife be at home to supervise the maid if you hire. Otherwise is better to put your baby in infantcare.
Housework can hire part time helper.

If you need to hire Maid can consider to install CCTV.You might want to consider hiring maid who has experience handling baby.

I have a maid who has been with me for 6 years, I will allow her home leave for 2 weeks every 2 years
but this year, she decided not to go home and stay here in Singapore
I know I have to pay her for the home leave of 2 weeks even though she does not return home
but do I have to pay her for the air ticket too?
meaning is the usualy air ticket cost around $300, I will compensate her in cash term since she is not going home? is there such ruling that employer have to compensate maid air ticket if she choose to say in Singapore?

Yes, you have to pay her air ticket in cash term. But you do not have to pay her the extra 2 weeks salary.
