[Ang Mo Kio] Primary Schools
-
I’m formerly from Kebun Baru Pri ( so now it had merged with AMK primary) does it mean that my miss piggy(born in 2007) will automatically be enroll to AMK primary?
I’m now staying at AMK st 31, prefers Teck Ghee Primary cos the school website is more detailed & interesting. I’m only much nearer to TGPS.
Which primary school should I enroll my girl? -

You will be able to register your child in P2A.Irene Bong:
Err...do you select a school based on the attractiveness of the website?I'm now staying at AMK st 31, prefers Teck Ghee Primary cos the school website is more detailed & interesting. I'm only much nearer to TGPS.
Anyway, based on 2012's registration statistics, balloting was carried out for PRs staying more than 2 km away. Assuming your child is a SC, she should be safe. -
Good day, everybody.
Just moved to AMK from Toa Payoh recently and my elder son will attend P1 registration of 2014.
So sad that all ‘best’ schools (Ai Tong, Anderson, Catholic High) are 1km+ away from my house.
Can anyone shared some useful information that how to pick a ‘better’ school among (Tech Ghee, Jing Shan, AMK Primary and May Flower)?
Thanks -

Hello everyone.
Need your advice
Will be registering in June 2015 (for 2016 intake).
Considering between PV for SNG and grassroots to qualify for P2B. But currently, we do not live within 1km from SNG.
1. Does bring a PV allow higher chances in the event of appealing for a vacancy post the registration?
2. Is it in time to join RC (2 years) now to qualify for letter? How active does 1 need to be to get the letter?
3. Prefer PV but the problem is we have to move to within 1km of SNG even before we can apply for PV which is not guaranteed. -

If beyond 1km, forget it. U won't even get a chance to ballot. -

Hi,
My friend’s daughter is now 10 years old and she needs to get into a school here and she has been studying in China for most part of her life. Her dad is a Singaporean but she is on a dependent pass awaiting for her PR, which will take awhile.
Is there any school that you know currently that has possible vacancy for her to study in AMK? Both parents are aware that she has to sit for an entry paper, but are not sure which school to apply. -
