Hi, my current P3 boy is rather weak in his math. I'm thinking of changing his private tutor (from agency) next year when he's in P4. Any recommendation for math tutor or tuition group or centre in the west? I'm staying in bukit panjang but open to travel to places as long as it can help my son . Welcome to pm me too :thankyou:

              Hi,

              Just to share.

I help my children on their primary school maths, to the elimination of their careless mistakes in calculation through

              Stage 1
              - Reminder 9 check method. (this pick up 90 percent of the children error in maths calculation)
              - Better method in multiplication. (This eliminate the common mistakes make by children in traditional method)

              * This can be pick up by the children and their parents within 4 hours. If use dilligently and consistently, it will benefit them on their paper 1 in PSLE.
              * On average it will pick up 90% of the marks loose to careless calculation mistake which is sometime hair pulling experience by parents.

              Stage 2
There also teaching of them to understand the concepts behind modeling, unitary tables, alebgra, area calculation, rather than blindly applying the methods.

However this stage take time and comes only after the foundation is applied on stage 1.

Anyone can recommend a good tuition for primary school. My son is not the fastest learner.. Anyone have feedback on any of the centres? I only know the few better known ones that my friend recommend.

                    Where are you staying though

I am a patient and dedicated 33 year old female full time graduate tutor, with 15 yearsโ€™ tutoring experience and specialize in Primary School Mathematics. I have been a full time tutor for 6 years and was also teaching part time for 3 years at a tuition centre in the Serangoon area.

Having been exposed to students with special needs and learning difficulties, I found myself passionately involved in learning how to teach and support them. Besides having a Specialist Diploma in Teaching and Supporting Children with Special Needs (Accredited by Academy of Certified Counsellors), I also have a Certificate in Dyscalculia and Numeracy Teaching (Accredited by Dyslexia Association of Singapore).

Over the years, I have helped many students weak in Mathematics achieve 20 marks improvement or more. I am no miracle worker, but passion and dedication helps. You may view some of my testimonials and track records http://www.serangoontuition.wordpress.com/testimonials.

I do 1-to-1 tuition mostly at my home at Serangoon, 3 minutes walk from Serangoon MRT and NEX Shopping Centre.

Small group tuition of maximum 3 students can be arranged too.

All materials including worksheets and past year exam papers will be provided.

                      Pls email serangoon.home.tuition@gmail.com or SMS/Whatsapp 9183 1199 to enquire.
