My good friend sent her daughter to the one at TPY when they first started, they left after a few months. She said facility is impressive but teachers kept changing and management does not seem to see it as a problem. My girl has been in MapleBear TPY for a while now. She is happy going school there but issues started kicking in now they are approaching their first year anniversary. I am extremely unhappy with the management, principal and high turnover in teachers.
I do like Maplebear's curriculum and understand they run a franchise model. So I would think every centre is different and wanting to switch to another Maplebear centre (hopefully with a better management). Anyone has experience with Maplebear Upper Thomson / Midview?
She went to Midview as well after that, she said it was not bad, teachers had much more experience but the whole open concept thing did not work out for them as it was noisy all the time.
She went to another school in the end, not Maple Bear. -
Teachers are in high demand these days… especially now many new centres coming out… definitely high turnover… it is really a norm no matter what due to the fact that not many people are keen to be childcare teachers… my child used to attend one of the mega schools and almost new teachers joining and teachers resigning every week… they have so many teachers which explain why… heard this one is also big school… maybe that’s why…

There’s a new MapleBear in Serangoon. I haven’t been there but it’s another option for parents in the Northeast.

I heard some complaints from a friend about the teachers being very fierce, but I’m sure not all of them are so.

Just to add my thoughts now that my kids have been attending Maple Bear Midview City for more than a year... We switched from another CC to Maplebear Midview and can't be happier about the decision. We recommended the school to some friends and neighbours who have also now sent their children to the centre and our LOs look forward to school everyday. My eldest is in K2 which has very senior and strong English and Mandarin teachers, mostly from Pat's Schoolhouse. The Chinese teachers use analogy and real-life examples to teach Chinese so even hanyu pinyin, my child found it easy to pick up. They have worksheets, work on presentation and performance skills, and also do math in Chinese to strengthen logical reasoning and language since my child joined in K1. I am really glad the centre does learning-through-play well but also prepares my child for the next major milestone, Primary school. I understand from other parents who have been with the centre since it started 4 years ago that a number of teachers who started with the school then are still around. I find this pretty amazing considering the high turnover I saw at our previous CC and from comments in this forum. This centre's management and Principal have been open to feedback and very approachable, which I now realise is an important factor to a great school instead of fancy facilities. They make an effort to know each child and every parent, I can tell they care for the kids and am assured that my children are in good hands. My younger one sometimes asks to give her favourite snacks or toys to her class teacher which shows how much she loves her and thinks about school...

Hi, any review on Maple Bear Jurong East? It’s a new branch, the obvious drawback is no outside playground, but the environment is quite new and big and the teachers look nice. need more comments on this one! Thank you!
