      Thank you @gancheongdaddy

Just come across the mobile phone policy in the DHIS:
Students have to keep their mobile phones in their school bags during formal lessons, class tests and examinations. In line with national examinations guidelines, any student found with a phone or smart watch in his/her possession during the examination or test will be considered an infringement of examination/test requirements, and be disqualified for that paper(s).

It is slightly different from what my kid told me, but it is still not that strict from my opinion. ๐Ÿ˜„

Yes, I remember my DS did that in Y1, but it is quite basic though...

Hi, can parents of seniors pls shed light on roughly what the parents talk tonight is about? Am still thinking to go or not.

            Thanks

Basically, there are a few things:
            1. Parents get to interact with the Form teachers of your child and the fellow parents of your child's classmate. You can ask any questions you may be concerning about, for example, promotion criteria, curriculum, etc.
            2. Parents get to visit the various CCA exhibitions. You can interact with the students/teacher in-charge to have some idea about the CCA and this will help in your kid's CCA selection. But of course, this is irrelevant if your kid is a DSA student.

            Hope this help.

Thank u! Glad i went, got to interact with the teachers and it was informative. Principals talk was motivating too

What is the point to go inside this school? For O level? The booklet put โ€˜dashโ€™ sign.

This year 2019 is the very 1st batch that both Dunman High and River Valley High are admitting in their pioneering, first batch of 2018 JAE (O-level) students. The new Cut-off-point is subjected to demand and supply of vacancies of JC1 seats available.

As of now (today), nobody know what is the actual COP going to be, until the day of posting results into Junior Colleges arrive (over). Hence, booklet put "dash" sign, means unknown yet, as of today (15 Jan 2019)
