      Does balloting for SC <1km take place if applicants staying <1km outnumber the vacancies?

      Eg Assuming 20 vacancies with 24 SC staying <1km, 5 SC staying 1-2km, 3 SC staying >2km, 6 PR staying <1km. Since 24 SC within 1km is more than 20 vacancies. Ballot for SC <1km is required.

      If SC staying <1km turns out to be 19, then balloting only applies to 5 SC staying 1-2km to vy for that 1 slot (20-19) ?
      Thank you!

            Do you know if schools can let you know numbers over the phone? I can then just drive down right away. Thanks!

            I think you have stressed yourself too much, unnecessarily.

            If your first choice is St Gabriel, vacancy for 2B is 45. The highest number of applicants during 2B is 37-38 (year 2014) since 2006. I think you can close shop and apply and welcome you to primary 1.

            Both Maris Stella and SJIJ are usual balloting at 2km if not 1-2km. Balloting odds like 2 to 1 is not for everyone.

            Other schools like St Stephen or De Lasalle would be alternative with no such risk. Distance is not a matter given that you want a catholic school.

            Haha you are right! I got into a stress ball last night as I read the numbers wrongly (too stressed at work). St Gabs still looks alright.

            Thanks for the assurance 😄

            The no. of applicants for Maris seems to have fallen this year so maybe I have a chance - will monitor the situation on the day itself. Although Maris is higher chinese school and my son can barely speak chinese!

              \"red number\" maybe cannot get, but is first come first serve. Maybe SPools should consider balloting lol

              Sorry daze12, I’m talking about Singapore pools 4D 😜

                Hi all, my PR kid <1km Haig girls and Tanjong Katong, it seems very risky for her to get Haig girl slot this year, if we finally got Tanjong Katong, is that easy for her to join in Haig girl via waiting list? Tks!

                  Everyone can be put into waitlist, however vacancies will be given considering priorities, e.g., who didn’t get a place in 2B, 2C stage, or demonstrates outstanding capabilities, or has other connection to school etc.

                  Don’t count on this as chance is slim and process isn’t transparent.

                    Appreciate if someone could help clarify the RMPS 2B breakdown statistics reflected on balloting.xyz

                    Total vacancies - 200
                    Phase 1 final - 83
                    Phase 2A1 final - 26
                    Phase 2A2 final - 25
                    Phase 2B vacancies - 33 ?? :?
                    Phase 2C pre-allocation - 20

                    Based on the known numbers shouldn’t the allocated 2B spots be 200-83-26-25-20 = 46 instead of 33 ? :? Many thanks in advance

                      The total remaining will be split between 2B/2C equally. 33/33

                        Hi,
                        Total = 200
                        Reserved = 20 for 2B, 20 for 2C
                        Vacancies left at the end of P2A2 = 160-83-26-25 = 26
                        26 will be splitted equally to 2B and 2C
                        So, 2B = 20 + (26/2) = 33
