If u need full day childcare, affordable ones are Sparkletots, MyWorld and My first school. You may want to try if there are more vacancies further away, like Queenstown or Holland Sparkletots. My son was in Holland one for a year while waiting for a space in TB. Very nice environment, good teachers and not full. Just a bit far.

anyone has recommendations on childcares in this area?
-
Hi,
Being the typical kiasu mom I just went to look at a few child care centres in the Tiong Bahru area even though my kid is only due in June. I was mostly looking at infant care but they usually have a childcare centre attached. I did a tour of Hampton Pre-school and Bambini Montessori just this month.
Both looked really good.
MY World at Boon Tiong was really rude and rejected any tour which is quite suspicious since the others were willing.
I managed to book a place at Bambini almost immediately with just a deposit. They just extended the space for IFC which used to be combined with childcare but now are separate, which probably means the childcare side would have more space too, maybe will have a chance to accept more children now. -

Hi,
I'm moving to River Valley area next year and need to find a full day childcare for my 3 year old. Is there any affordable ones to recommend in this area?
I understand the ones at Tiong Bahru etc are usually packed out so I need to start my search asap. Hope someone can help, thanks!
You may wish to consider MapleBear Havelock at the Annexe building of Furama Riverfront Hotel or MapleBear Alexandra at Alexis condo (near IKEA).
My boy has been attending MapleBear Havelock since it started 3 years ago & he's very happy there. It's a bigger centre compared to the one at Alexandra & some of their other centres. It's run by Mrs Pat Koh herself, some other centers are franchises.
They have a big indoor playground, good & clean facilities, in-house cook, bilingual immersion programme (every class has an English & Chinese teacher), friendly staff & teachers, disciplined school (no kids running around, no shouting/screaming etc).
You may want to make an appointment for a school visit. -
Hi thanks, I have already enrolled my children in YWCA which is nearby and I am loving the school too.
I did visit Maplebear before too and was only concerned about the whole day aircon bit. -
Hello! Are there any parents who have enrolled their child in K1 or currently in K1 at Orange Academy Tiong Bahru Plaza? I just enrolled my girl and would like to find out more. TIA!
