I m an old girl from PLMGPS. My girl is born in 2005, I am contemplating if I should send her to PL. Any comments fr parents whose daughters r studying in this sch? Are u happy with the school so far?

I'm an old girl too. Taught there a few years back too.

There are quite alot of changes made after they changed principal. As an old girl, I do not agree with some of the changes.

Rules wise, they have relaxed alot of the rules and I find the girls not as disciplined and well-mannered as previously.

Programs wise, they have improved alot and the girls get to try out many different programs. Especially in terms of music.

Though I may disagree with some of the current management style of the school, I would still send my daughter there (hopefully I have one soon!).

mrswongtuition, can share what are the changes or management styles issues you disagree about?

diveera, just walk-in to register for PV at the school office, thereโ€™s form to fill and a staff in charge that will see you.

                  Thanks for sharing Bellej,

Which class your girl is in now? My gal is in PLMGS too 1Joy. ๐Ÿ™‚

From what I hear and see, she loves going to school very much and enjoys the lessons. Especially the music classes. I think that PLMGS has great exposure for the girls in terms of music. Although we failed to sign up on time for the Gymnastics extra lesson, she looks forward to her rope skipping, gym sessions during PE.

Do your hubby participate in dads for life? Apparently, the activities organised are quite nice, especially the coming \" Sleeping with Sharks\" with daddies only.

I welcome such events as they emphasized the importance of daddy in the growing years of our daughters. This is so true and I think that due to work committments, daddies are spending lesser time with the kids. Having organised outing for daddy and daughter will help to bond them closer! And mommy can have some rest!! Maybe go for hi-tea or shopping..hahaha ๐Ÿ˜Ž

                  Just sharing.
                  ๐Ÿ˜„
                  Kp in touch.

Hi Parents of PLMGS(Pri), my only girl is now in P1. The last 4 weeks in PL were really a sharp learning curve for her and us, as parents. Books were lost and found, and some went ????, stationery too! Class teachers called up as early as 2nd wk to discuss her inattentiveness in class. I was taken aback initially when was told that the teacher shouted at my girl. But, into the 4th wk, I am now getting pretty use to that. The girls need the basic discipline for the teacher to manage her class. One of my girl's classmates lives on the same floor with me. She cried last nite and confided that without her nap time, as before in childcare, she is finding it tough to keep alert. (As both parents work, she needs to go to her nanny's place b4 8am every morning). Also, the teacher reprimanded her for \"interrupting\" when she raised her hand in class, she said that she just wanted to ask question. I guessed she must be finding it hard to express her intention during class to her teacher. Her little mind just could not understand why she was scolded. Poor kid, so much about adjustments into the primary sch system here. The BIG gap between kindergarten and pri 1 is really getting a toll on all these young girls.
