my answer for that question is 330 cm2 🙂 because i drew guide lines and moved some stuff and i got 5 of the thinner rectangles , so since 165cm2 is the total area ... one thin rectangle is 33 cm2 and since they want the area of the entire figure ( consists of 10 thin rectangles ) , i did 33x10 which is 330 cm2 🙂

i got 300;
3u+2p=165cm2
5u=4p
2.5u=2p
3u+2.5u=5.5u
5.5u=165cm
1u=30
30x10=300 (x10 because 4p=5u and 5u+5u is 10u)

i might be wrong :\"\"

hmm that’s possible , i don’t rmb much details of the question so could you clarify on why 5 u = 4 p ?
I used bassically the same way just with different units.

I took 4 as the whole figure and /2 to get 2, then I took 2 /5 to get 0.4 then I x 3 =1.2 because of the three shaded rectangles for the top and for the bottem, I took 2 /4 x2 to get 1 then I added them together = 2.2 so I took that divided by 165 x 4 because of my original 4 as the whole figure

4u = whole figure
2u = half of it
2u/5 = 0.4 = 1 top rectangle
2u/4 = 0.5 = 1 bottom rectangle
3 top rectangles = 0.4 x 3 = 1.2
2 bottom rectangles = 0.5 x 2 = 1
Shaded rectangles of top and bottom = 1.2 + 1 = 2.2
1u = 165/2.2 = 75
4u = 75 x 4 = 300

What about paper2 Q2, about 5 small and 4 big rectangles?

is answer 300 or 315?
It’s 300

Seems like many find the math papers are easy. Wonder if the A* benchmark will be raised too?
