So this year’s English Paper 2 is not so easy, Math is manageable but not so easy??
I would personally say both were easy but it depends on the individual I got 94 for prelim math so I would say psle maths paper was easy but if you didn't understand the concepts properly then you may view the paper differently
Anyone remember the answer for the paper 2 question 5 about squares?

hi, if i'm not wrong about which question it was, i put 300 🙂

how did you do it? I feel like 300 is a bit large imo
Shaded area = 165
Therefore, 22u = 165
1u = 7.5
Total square= 40u
Answer = 40×7.5= 300.
Hope my daughter told the correct questions...
My daughter do wrongly as she found unshaded =23 😂 hope for method mark!

I did it using different units tho

4u = whole figure
2u = half of it
2u/5 = 0.4 = 1 top rectangle
2u/4 = 0.5 = 1 bottom rectangle
3 top rectangles = 0.4 x 3 = 1.2
2 bottom rectangles = 0.5 x 2 = 1
Shaded rectangles of top and bottom = 1.2 + 1 = 2.2
1u = 165/2.2 = 75
4u = 75 x 4 = 300

I use 40u as whole figure while you use 4u.
Is same method. 👍

Estimation for psle score: 50+10(r-a/sd)
Sd:20
Average:65
You should be able to calculate ur psle score with this formula

May I ask how did you derive the sd and average?

yes; it might not be entirely accurate if you don't mind me saying so LOL

I thot there was one pattern question, Q15, on the ring.

Yes! Now she recalls there’s a pattern quest in paper 2:)

Answer a) 30 b) 28
Hmmmm...
Hopefully your DD didn't miss the plot...how come the good student found it difficult and your DD said manageable
