If RMPS reduce the 1 class size this year, very likely Phase 2C would be ballot. Last year is it 97 fighting for 60 places in Phase 2C?titank:
Generally new school the demand would not be great. I guess they would target RMPS,ZDPS, CHIJ (Kellock) & RVPS. They are in the 1-2Km range.
That's why there are so many PVs in RMPS this year.
If I remembered correctly, after Phase 1 already left 50%. Maybe those aiming RMPS should check past balloting history. -

Maybe this time round Cantonment Primary can be backup plan where many parents would go until when it is Phase 2C Supplementary.
Will parents go for Cantonment Pri if GESPS still has vacancies in P2CS? :?
Maybe they will try for GESPS first in P2CS, and if they get balloted out, they will choose Cantonment Pri. as one of the three choices? -
But didn’t GESPS also have balloting last year for 2C Supplement. To add to it they did pretty good for their PSLE last year. So I guess the balloting history for this school will also be changing this july

Based on what the principal said, I don't think intake will be reduced this year. Again, this is based on my own interpretation of the principal's speech. If RMPS reduce the 1 class size this year, very likely Phase 2C would be ballot. Last year is it 97 fighting for 60 places in Phase 2C?

Last year, 96 fought for 65 places. -

Even though GESPS had balloting last year, balloting was for those staying 1-2 km from the school.
If you were to be in the category, would you rather try for GESPS first? Anyway, if lady luck is not on your side, and your child doesn't get in to GESPS, you can still choose Cantonment Pri. after P2CS.
Of course, the above assumes that GESPS still has vacancies in P2CS. If not, looks like there aren't that many choices for people staying in Bt Merah. -

Maybe this year Blangah Rise Primary 不会包尾了where there is now a new school Cantonment Primary. There is indeed very little discussions on Blangah Rise Primary.titank:

For Cantonment Primary to be attractive enough for parents to consider putting their kids there maybe the school has to put forth certain selling points since its new. A good IT infrastructure or a good principal may help?

I know a few forummers here who stay near Blangah Rise Pri School. Perhaps they don't find it appropriate to comment about the school here? :scratchhead: -

Gan Eng Seng Primary with thier top PSLE in 2009 defintely their profile would increase. Maybe this time round GESPS would have balloting in Phase 2C. I bet there won't be availabe places available in the Phase 2CS.

Maybe they can adopt Beacon Primary as an example? Heard that school become so popular as it is an IT school? Last year a new school name Horizon Primary in Punnggol also have many places left not yet being filled up.
