Has it been continuous since he was young? Or just began? Have you consulted a doctor?

Was once upon a time in his shoes during my teens, I think its stress related eg studies, exams, peers, family, etc... Have a casual chat with him to find out more. I maybe wrong though. I am sure he feels lousy about it. Should all the above ruled out, seek medical help ya🙂

He is very unwilling to go because he’s afraid that there will be checks on his body… It has been on and off since young… Do you think its appropriate to still use diapers for it?

He will be going to NS in a couple of years - I think it's best to get this sorted out, or at least find out the reason. If it's a persistent issue, he will have to figure out how he will cope in NS.

I will try to talk to him again… He is hopeful that it will go away once puberty starts

You may want to consider TCM. Acupuncture has helped my son with the same issue. You can PM me if you need recommendation on acupuncturist.

You said he's 16? And he hasn't reached puberty? Isn't that late?
