Does anyone know what’s the average score in GEP, and what’s considered a good score? AL3 sounds good enough for me for GEP, especially in the first year of adjustment.
Not sure if it's still the same but they used to have a subject baseline. So if you haven't gone below that, the programme will assume youa re coping ok

I would be keen to know the average too. So far I heard of full marks for math and close to full marks for science (p4) 😅

Nowadays schools/teachers won’t release average/top/bottom scores. Perhaps you can ask during PTM if your DC scores are above average etc.

If can maintain an overall of 85%, that would be good. Anything above 85% should be considered as above average.

Thanks! This benchmark should apply to the same cohort in all GEP schools, right? Given they take the same papers.

I don’t have the actual statistics and not really sure how the boys’ results differ from girls. 85% is derived after my girl told me that for her group of classmates (all girls), most of them tend to clutter around 85% +/-

Any of the current GEP kids have problem coping with English. How do you help them? I foresee my kid having issues with English once he joins the programme.

                        Hi existing GEP parents,

My daughter has been offered to do GEP, I have been trying to digest the news over the weekend as it came totally unexpected. While she has been going for English and Math enrichment, it was not my intention to prepare her for the GEP screening/selection tests.

I have read up on the GEP program but still confused on the key project works that they need to do over the next 3 years, therefore would appreciate your advice.

In P4, this is a transition year so no project work but focus on developing the inquiry skills? Any example what will be done?

In P5, focus on the ISO project - it can IRS or IvP or school based projects. This is the one major project that they need to focus and complete over 8-10 months. Is my understanding correct?

Social studies - This will be a graded subject in GEP but not examinable in PSLE. Correct?

Exam preparation- Unlike MS where past years exam papers and assessment books are easily available, how do you support your child in their exam preparation?
I suppose the parents will have no access to those past years P4/P5 GEP exam papers that were set by MOE.
For P6 exam, they will doing school based exam as per MS students right?

Appreciate any info/advice from existing GEP parents. Thank you in advance.
