My son got into SJI via DSA. I would like to check if there are any parents out there donating preloved SJI Sec uniform as I would like to be environmentally friendly. Moreover my son is growing too fast now and I don’t really want to get him uniform that he will outgrow in 2-6 months time. He is currently 1.65m and about 51kg. Any hand me down books are welcomed too. Thank you in advance. 🙏

Is there any eateries nearby SJI to recommend? Other than school canteen and these places (I understand that there is Caltex petrol kiosk, McDonalds and Subway nearby), where does SJI/SCGS students normally hang out when they have CCA or extended lessons?

Hi. Any parents with kids who manage to get into SJI through DSA leadership? Can share some insights on the application process? How is the interview like and what are the kind of questions asked during the interview.


My son is in p6 (2021) and we are thinking of applying dsa through leadership since he is a prefect. Not sure if that alone is sufficient to qualify.

Any catholic parents of SJI students here, pls clarify this ? For catholic boys, is morning chapel at 7.10am and 2nd CCA compulsory ? Is it only for a year1 or for all years ?

Yes looks like it’s everyday for morning prayers @710am, though it never say when this starts, and yes compulsory to join a catholic society as part of a 2nd cca

Thanks for confirming. We do not live near the school and now need to start earlier. A bit concerned about that and I think it is required for year1 students at least ? isn’t ? Chapel prayers are good but wish it can be during or after school hours.

Think it’s required for all catholic boys. And fellowship cca is every Tuesday 3-5pm. Think it’s also a mandate from the archdiocese nowadays. Primary school don’t have this sort of things
