Which are the more popular cca?[/quote]
I’d say traditionally the sports CCAs are well sought after, including Table Tennis, Badminton, Basketball and T&F. However, there’ll already have been students who entered some of these CCAs via Sports DSA, so vacancies are limited (usually only those with past experience can get in) because every CCA has limited spots and all CCAs are competitive.

Our Uniformed Groups consistently do well, and usually have a large intake, (around 100 from the 4 UGs combined) and although I’d expect most students wouldn’t have UG as a first choice in mind, most who get in stick with the CCA and eventually perform well in their respective leadership roles in Sec 4.

Our clubs and societies and aesthetics usually perform really well in their own competitions and SYF too, but their quota is dependent on how many people they need for their performances, so it is also capped.

Ultimately, every student will have their own preferences, and from experience, I think that most CCAs are given similar treatment, so there isn’t really any CCAs that are more “prestigious” than others. As such, finding something one is good at and will enjoy doing is the most important factor in choosing a CCA.

Don’t be upset if one is channelled to a UG. Actually UGs often end up being the most fun and bonded group. And UG has improved a lot from our times!

Nope, CCA training times are fixed. However, you should consider the different training days for each CCA when choosing your CCA to avoid clashes with any afternoon lessons you might have.
