yes, with MGS CCA is only required for upper primary. there are many other fun after school classes such as ballet, tap dancing, gymnastics etc.

Can your younger child enter primary school at phrase 1, if your older child is in mgs secondary but has never attended mgs primary? Anyone has experience to share? Thanks

Yes you can as MGS is a full school.

Thanks Davischew for the reply. My friend tried to call the office but did not get a direct reply. Hope some parents can share their experience.

May I ask how easy is it to be selected as a parent volunteer for MGS primary? Would really appreciate if someone can advise (PM me).

                Many thanks

Hi Everybody may I check do i still need to go thru balloting if I am registration at Phase 2B and within 1km? And what is the probability of balloting if still needed. Example 30 vacancy but there is 35 applying at phase 2B within 1km therefore need to ballot. Or is it safe like there is usually 30 vacancy and around 25 applied at phase 2B within 1km and can go in straight? I couldn't find any information about this online and very desperate to know about this. Hope some kind soul can reply me on this god bless you. Amen! 🙂

Most of the years ballot 2B <1km, so prepare that. High chance to get in. If fail, then try 2C ballot.

Hi there, we applied at Phase 2B last year. If I remember correctly, there were 27 places, and 39 applicants within 1km. The stats are quite similar through the years. So we went in with prayers and an open mind, telling ourselves that if we don't get MGS, we'd be at peace with our backup choice, BTPS (which is pretty decent actually).

The good thing about being within 1km is that there's nothing stopping you from applying again at Phase 2C, should you not get in at 2B. Having said that, I wish you the very best. God bless! 🙂
