The rashes are out and hopefully like what the doctor says he should be recovering.. ..
Actually quite upset and worried, heng I can log on here and 'pass' the time.
I know what you mean about passing time, that's why I am still thankful to the person who invented the handphone and the computer!
You staying there with him? What about the kids at home?
Do take care of yourself too. -
He is on drip and given sleeping pill to knock him out.
He stopped complaining about feeling hot and cold liao. But still have bad headache.
Decided to head home and leave him to the 'chio' nurses.
My DS will stay home with grandparents tomorrow.
Hope this will be over soon

I was hit a few years ago. I did not suspect it was a dengue, I can even force myself to go out with the family and I was in Orchard Road when the pain really hit (usual me can still work with fever hitting 39 degrees and not aware of it). It’s like someone trying to stretch the blood vessel all over the body. Tan skin made it difficult to see the spots but yes I had that too.
I did a google and read about a scientist trap in Africa with no medication. His suggestion is to drink plenty of fluid to flush out the toxin. -
Thank you all very much and will google for details.. ... :grphug:
DH's blood platelet count has gone up today, confirming the recovery stage..
He is almost back to his notti ways, eating and drinking as much as he can..
Should be home tomorrow or day after hopefully.

Some years back I was calling the NEA so often , I got to know the officers quite well. Told me that it is very difficult to hire people in this industry. Owing to low pay and other related factors.
Maids are common these days, and they are not well informed, and may not know consequences of leaving water stagnant.
Mosquitoes senses smell and heat. Well ventilated place helps. I find mosquitoes patches does not work well. Sprays are good, and am not sure abt those audio repallent. -
Read this today. Didn't know there is so many types of Dengue.
Uncommon form of dengue detected in Marsiling
An uncommon form of dengue, Dengue-3, has hit the Marsiling area with more than 60 cases reported since April, according to the National Environment Agency (NEA).
There have been no deaths from the current outbreak and there is no sign it has spread to other parts of Singapore, reported The Straits Times (ST).
Experts also told the paper that Den-3, which has been found in Singapore previously, is no more serious than the more common Den-1 and Den-2. However, Singaporeans are more vulnerable to Den-3 because they have little or no immunity against the infection.
Den-2 is the most common form of the four types of dengue viruses locally. It is detected in about 80 percent of dengue cases here.
Two clusters of dengue transmission was found in Marsiling this time. The first cluster, detected on 21 April, was in Marsiling Rise. Transmission ended on 30 April.
The current cluster, bordered by Marsiling Rise, Marsiling Road and Woodlands Street 13, was detected on 19 May and is the largest cluster so far this year with 40 cases.
The NEA has stepped up control measures.
It has added 40 officers to its earlier 30 to search for and destroy potential mosquito breeding grounds. It is also working with doctors in the area to encourage all suspected and confirmed dengue cases to apply insect repellent on themselves during this period.
Meanwhile, public outreach efforts have been increased.
Sembawang-Nee Soon Town Council and agencies like the National Parks Board are also conducting checks and removing potential breeding spots, reported ST.
A total of 53 breeding habitats were found in the first cluster while 35 have been found in the current cluster so far.
NEA has taken enforcement action against all parties found breeding Aedes mosquito.
There were 1,600 dengue cases in the first five months of this year. Dengue is characterised by symptoms such as body aches, muscle aches, headaches, mild diarrhoea and vomiting.
In 2009, a high number of cases of Den-3 was reported in Little India and Geylang.
