My son and his RI classmates attend this English class together but not sure if you are still looking for one. Do email me if you are interested to find out more at dtjdtj@yahoo.com
Hi all,
Anyone know of any good English tuition centre where RI boys will go to and the centre is good in teaching expo essays? My boy will be in Sec 3 next year. Thanks. -

My ds shared that the sec sch canteen food is quite cheap - per meal is between $2-3 and drinks at around $1.

I've been giving him allowance on a per month basis since Y1 which provides more flexibility.
Hopefully sch is still able to conduct the 3D2N camp for the Y1s, leading to the Junior Rafflesian Investiture Ceremony next Jan. -

I hope the portions of the food is adult size π
Heard the chicken rice is yummy π
Any idea if they have staggered recess time like primary school? π
Hopefully there is 3D2N camp for upcoming batchπ€π»π€π»
Thanks again ππ -
Do consider giving extra cos they can eat quite a lot and they stay back for ccas etc. With SDM relaxing they may go to J8 or bishan coffee shops to eat with friends.
We have smaller size sch uniforms and shorts to bless if you are not fussy. Pls Pm. Thanks -

Do the canteen operators/convenience stores/popular accept cashless payments like Google Pay etc?

Hi, can some kind souls help to share ur thoughts? DS got AL5 in PSLE and he really wants to join RI as some of his classmates do after RI open house tour.
He does not belong to those smartest nor most motivated/hardworking students. His math and Chinese are ok and generally score 90 above, while science is generally around AL2 and English hovered around AL2-3. He briefly joined math Olympiad on P4 and got bronze medal in a P5 MO competition, but stopped in P6 to focus on PSLE preparation. For P6 SA1 and prelim test his results were AL7 and 8 respectively. So in terms of academic, he is not bad but definitely not the most outstanding ones.
Now in a RI environment, how an average student like DS can excel in academic? In primary school days, he did assessment books, past year papers, and attended tuitions. In RI will it be completely different approach? How did ur sons excel in their study and achieved high GPAs? What are the risk or chance that DS cannot cope with the study and left behind his peers? As parents how can we support them? Really appreciate experienced parents to share. Thanks!
