All 2022 " Upper " Secondary ( O-level and IP ) Cedar girls (students), born in year (2006 and 2007),
do u find that
you are swarmed with so much school homework assignment(s) everyday from Monday to Friday, that u find it hard to breathe ? -
Note
For DSA applicants into Cedar Girls' Secondary school under the domain, \"Social Innovation\" -
1) if you have selected
\"No Preference\" during DSA portal submission, chances are
If the school were to offer you a CO (Confirmed Offer), it will be for the IP track.
The school offered girls CO (Social Innovation) for the O-level track, if the panel of interviewers feel that you may not be able to cope with the IP rigor, based on your past years primary school results uploaded by your General Office Admin staff into the DSA server plus
based on your interview group performance, if you have selected \"No Preference\" during portal submission.
Candidates who have been successfully offered O-level track (Social Innovation) CO, opportunities still arise (abound) at the end of your Sec 2 journey, to seek transfer across into the IP track, starting Sec 3 (IP), if you are still interested in IP, two years later.
2) Thus, for P6 students who are not comfortable with IP track, for whatever reasons, then you should select O-level track (Social Innovation) instead, explicitly.
Because
you will be caught in a dilemma, if you actually favor O-level instead of IP, if the school were to offer you CO (IP) in the end, since you had selected \"No Preference\".
3) DSA applicants who happen to possess Leadership award(s), often tend to be highly favored upon, stand a higher chance of being selected, for this domain called \"Social Innovation\".
4) for those who have entered this Secondary school by the PSLE AL score, not by DSA route, and are interested in this domain, can contact the Teacher-in-charge directly how to join, after you have started Sec 1.

Hi all,
Pardon me if questions have been asked before, first time on these forums and DD is the eldest kid.
What are the chances to enter via DSA netball?
Would they be focusing on certain positions played in the team and etc?
DD is also the vice captain of her school team and also in school leadership. (Vice head prefect)
Also, is there a separate class just for DSA or will they be mixed?
Is there an e open house for Cedar upcoming anytime soon?
Thanks in advance! -
Normally,
nobody can question your question on
"What are the chances to enter … for whatever DSA domain, your child has applied for "
Because
1) we do not know Total, how many P6 competitors are applying for the same, identical domain as your child,
2) we do not know how strong, or how weak each of these competitors are, compared to your child,
3) we do not know your child.
4) for Sports domain,
if Cedar Girls Secondary do conduct interview for her DSA applicants, a lot will depend on your daughter’s interview session, itself.
As you know, interview is the key thing.
Interview outcome, is either a "make it" or "break it".
5) Every batch, year in year out, the (Total number and quality) of DSA applicants differ. -
for the "half" subject, that accompany Social Studies :-
Cedar Girls Secondary 3 (O level track) don’t offer Elective Literature to her girls (students),
but
offer only
either
Elective (History or Geography) ? -
Hi All,
My dd is offered a DSA for Cedar. I would like to check with parents whose kids are now in Cedar, on your kids' experience and review of the school. How are the teachers, curriculum, culture etc? I heard that while the academics are good, the support might be lacking. Would love to validate it, esp for the \"O\" level track. Thank you all in advance!
:thankyou:
