      Is your kid in nyjc?
Should be. Note in her reply she said “our new principal” instead of “the new principal”

        This question, is not relevant
of course is a relevant qn cos curious that you seems to have a lot of insider info...... nyjc student profiles like staying in which part of sg and nyjc is going to become 2nd hci also know. Anyway don't be mistaken....... not trying to intrude into your private life. 😄

Not sure about 2nd HCI but current principal was previously principal from HCI and is a public news. NYJC is lucky to have him in my opinion - his office door is always open if you need to discuss issues with him.

Is easy to get insider info, about NYJC.

            Why ?

            Because

some of my close friends' sons + daughters, are already inside NYJC now. So during house visiting or casual chit chat, when they talk about what's happening inside their respective JCs, already know a lot of insider info about NYJC. All the more, because NYJC is the talk of the town now, esp. over this most recent saga about patching the ... loop hole thing. Is all over in some other forum, too. You may read here too :-

As for NYJC becoming 2nd Hwa Chong, is common knowledge lah ! Current NYJC Principal hail from Hwa Chong, naturally he will apply his (the) best practices from HCI into NYJC, too. He has been in HCI for past 5 years, only last year then been rotated out by MOE, to come here. Every 5 years or so, MOE will rotate people out, to another institution. Slowly, he will introduce \"best practices\" into NYJC. Now, he just joined one month only, still trying to feel the ground, getting to know his key profile staff : some who have been with Mr Kwek and Mr Low, for quite some years. He got the next 5 years ahead of him, to implement new changes, slowly. 5 years, is a long time

sometimes, I tend to use \"the\" and \"our\" loosely, esp. when I type fast, on the keyboard. Don't read too much, into it.

ok loh.... because he comes from hci means nyjc will also become like a 2nd school that he used to come from..... then last time he used be from CCHM before going to HCI....... then maybe HCI also become a 2nd CCHM for the period he was at HCI......

                  ...
You have all these contacts? Then should have asked them for NYJC's A Levels results for the past few years...

Can you ask your contacts? I am sure members here would appreciate such insider information immensely since it's so difficult to obtain it.

Yes, will be great if Mr Pang can keep his office door wide open.

                    Why ?

                    Because

When Mr Kwek, the humble and greatly loved upon and greatly respected by students, the founder who leap frog the reputation of Nanyang Junior College, from once upon a time L1R5 18 points in 20xx many years ago until today (2024) nett 5 for Science stream, he always leave his office door wide open, for both students and parents alike.

I clearly remembered this vividly, during the Open house one day at NYJC, years ago. I was sitting alone at the table, eating noodle inside the school canteen. Suddenly, one young student (girl) came up to me, smiling brightly and said \"Hello Auntie,

                    Good afternoon, to you !

We are very glad that you come and visit us today, at our NYJC Open house. How do you feel, about our Open house, today ? Is there any feedback that you wish to give us, because we would really love to hear from the parents too, who have visited us today. Your feedback is very important & valuable, to us \"

In fact, this student was carrying a video camera, in her hands. Ready to video camera any parents who have visited NYJC that day on Open house, for feedback.

This shows how much, they value feedback, from both parents & students ... to keep on improving NYJC. That really shows the big heart, their love, care in their heart.

We are comparing apple to apple.
Both Hwa Chong and Nanyang JCs are JCs. So, we are talking about JCs.

Chung Cheng High, is only a Secondary school, not even a JC yet.
How can he be applying Secondary school policy, into a JC ?

                      Moreover,
Chung Cheng High is an O level school, non IP. In contrast, Hwa Chong (Sec 1 to Sec 4) Is IP, run differently from an O level school

                        Hi phtthp,

Mr Pang CH was principal of HCI which includes High School and College sections.

I do applaud NYJC's move to regularize the admissions into Arts and Science streams.
