Thank you so much. I am really blessed to have such a supportive group in KSP.
:congrats:
All the Best to your girl!
As excited as we are, I can see the anxiety and pressure my daughter is going through as she is preparing for the interviews.
As a parent, I am trying to be supportive and encouraging, praying hard that DD gets her admission in med course
She has so much passion for it, and truly wants to do her best for the underprivileged and society as a whole.
I will share our experiences as we go through our journey (keeping the confidentiality of the interview content). -
Hi Anyone has got Dentistry MDT coming up or attended it?
My DD has not got dentistry MDT invite for 9th April.
She is contemplating attending it or not since she has not much experience in the practical aspects of the MDT tests.
I am encouraging her to just go and attend it, and gain some understanding.
Would like to hear further thoughts from parents whose kids have attended MDT or going it attending it soon. -
NTU LCK, NUS YLL and NUS Dentistry are 3 of the most difficult to get in courses with rounds of elimination. Should your DD be selected to attend MDT, I would suggest she give it a shot. Three components of the MDT were on paper, wire and plasticine. Nothing to prepare since its few days from invite. Just relax and listen to instructions, watch your timing (60 mins) and complete the three task as close to model as possible - size, weigh, dimension, etc. Should your DD survive this round, next round will be interview. Only 80 places will be offered with xx number under waitlist. All the Best.

How was your DD/DS's MMI, FSA, SJT?
My girl said she got no clue if she did good or bad?

Yes indeed, there is lot of competition. All the students getting shortlisted are the best of the best, and you need to outshine the rest to be selected.
DD is lucky to be invited to all 3 interviews. She never believed she will get chance for interviews and was so nervous. Since has been lucky to be invited, I am encouraging her to give MDT a chance.
It's a hectic week for us. She just finished NTU LKC interview, and next 3 days have SJT, FSA and MDT back to back. Sometimes it just boils down to mental resilience and determination to do your best to get the place.
As parents, we can only stand beside them as pillar of support, to ensure they eat well and stay in best physical and mental health condition during the selection rounds.
Good luck to all prospective med students! -
My DD has just completed the NTU LKC interview. She met lot more girls than boys at the venue.
She mentioned the interviewers were very polite and professional, and seemed to be of different backgrounds (work roles). She ran out of time in few stations and had some time left on others after answering. Don't know what that means for her.
Like all kids, she couldn't say much on how she feels she did. She did try her best to answer all questions - she did get caught by some outliner cross questions. Which is to be expected.
She also met few of the med students from NTU and they are seemed happy and engaged in the course at LKC med school.
Keeping fingers crossed 🤞
How about your DD/DS experience for NTU and NUS med/dentistry MMI/FSA/SJT and MDT experience? -
Hello Everyone,
Hope most of our kids are done with NUS and NTU interviews.
My daughter attended the NUS dentistry MDT. And she said it was a very much humbling experience. My daughter couldn’t prepare much for dentistry as she thought she would not get the invite due to high competition.
So when she got the invite a few days before the interview, she was left in a dilemma and anxiety. She looked thru some youtube videos and practiced few things.
Sure to say, she felt pressed for time. Being a perfectiinalist, she wasn’t too happy with herself after the MDT. She did see many other participants doing better and could see their passion & efforts.
Good luck to all who attended!
When do you think we start seeing YLLOM and LKC offers rolling out?
Look forward to hearing more from my KSP family.
