      Hello Everyone,
Hope most of our kids are done with NUS and NTU interviews.

My daughter attended the NUS dentistry MDT. And she said it was a very much humbling experience. My daughter couldn't prepare much for dentistry as she thought she would not get the invite due to high competition.

So when she got the invite a few days before the interview, she was left in a dilemma and anxiety. She looked thru some youtube videos and practiced few things.

Sure to say, she felt pressed for time. Being a perfectiinalist, she wasn't too happy with herself after the MDT. She did see many other participants doing better and could see their passion & efforts.

Good luck to all who attended!

When do you think we start seeing YLLOM and LKC offers rolling out?
Look forward to hearing more from my KSP family.
Dentistry ... you know, right ?
      only very limited seats

so, they tend to give to applicants who show ... passion in Dentistry. From the way applicants talk, interviewers will know whether they have passion, or not.

        Agree with you completely!
You need to have passion for the profession and care for people. If someone is looking to get into med or dentistry just for money or prestige - they won't survive long.

My DD put dentistry as a second option. She is passionate about medicine and its her first preference. Knowing her, she will put her 200% whichever she gets.

May I inquire about your experiences with the FSA? Mine felt rather intimidating, to be honest. It seemed to either go exceptionally well or not at all, leaving me a bit concerned now, haha

My DD has just completed the NTU LKC interview. She met lot more girls than boys at the venue.

She mentioned the interviewers were very polite and professional, and seemed to be of different backgrounds (work roles). She ran out of time in few stations and had some time left on others after answering. Don't know what that means for her.

Like all kids, she couldn't say much on how she feels she did. She did try her best to answer all questions - she did get caught by some outliner cross questions. Which is to be expected.

She also met few of the med students from NTU and they are seemed happy and engaged in the course at LKC med school.

            Keeping fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

How about your DD/DS experience for NTU and NUS med/dentistry MMI/FSA/SJT and MDT experience?
For my girl's MMI, there were more boys.
There were 2 circuits with 9 candidates and only 2 girls each in both circuits.
Btw, I noticed your DD is 2004 born. Did she take gap year?

My girl said quite OK. Nothing intimidating.
But she can't say exceptionally well or not at all though.
She doesn't know good or bad. šŸ˜‚

Don't be too intimidated by hearing of others who thought they did well.
Some of our high achiever candidate's critic themselves too much and act pessimistic as they have high expectations. Your child could be one of those.

My DD thought it was ok - not too exceptional as well.
                  We can now just wait.

You have done well. Good Job and Good luck!
My DD did say the PS station was intense and the interviewers knew things inside out on what you wrote and did challenge some of her views. She felt an immense relief once she was done with all the interviews - that's what she could tell in the end. The med interviews are emotionally draining.
It's a station to test your thoughts and viewpoints.

And yes, indeed DD took a gap year. But this is her first year of applications and interviews with both NTU and NUS.

It's same for my girl. PS station was quite intense.
She was the first one to go didn't help as well. :rotflmao:
