[2024 Sec 2 student]: From Sec 1 HCL SA2’s 11/20 to Sec 2 HCL WA3’s 16.5/20.

实用文 is a new component in Sec level thus for most students, it will be a challenge - after all, the 书面语 question that they attempted in Pri level CL is pretty short and only worth 4 marks.

Given more reading up on various topics and social issues, as well as deeper analyzation, improvement can be made over time.

[2024 Pri 6 student]: Paper 2 results - From Pri 5 SA2’s 60.5 to Pri 6 CA2’s 69 to Pri 6 Prelim’s 79.5;
Overall results - From Pri 5 SA2’s 147/200 (AL 5, 73.5) to Pri 6 Prelim’s 166.5 (AL 3, 83.25). Hopeful that the trend in improvement will continue with PSLE!

[2024 Pri 5 student]: Encouraging result to build upon

[2024 Sec 4 student]: Whereas improvement in language expression will take a considerable period of time, it is “easier” to score well for content as long as students have relevant knowledge about the commonly discussed topics and are able to apply critical thinking skills. Regular topic discussions help to prepare students not just for oral component but also Paper 1 - esp. email writing, forum discussion and discursive essay.
