          Hi

anyone has feedback on montessori for children at Mountbatten? or twinkle stars montessori at marine parade?
Understand that the former require students to b toilet-trained but my son (coming 3 this sept) isn’t exactly well-trained yet so I’m still hesitant to enrol him.
          My queries are:
          1. Are the teachers gd n patient there?
          2. Do these 2 schools prepare kids well enough for them to proceed to p1 academically? Do we need to send them for additional enrichment classes?
          3. How abt the Chinese standards?
          4. I read Montessori provide almost 1 to 1 attention. But given the class size of abt 15 students to 2 teachers n 3 hrs daily class, is the 1-1 attention really possible? Or does it mean on certain days my kid may not get any attention? Or is it my kid will only get few min of personal attention daily since the teacher’s time is split among the students?

Sorry I’m alittle confused over how the teacher segregate their time n how the classes r conducted.

I don't think there are any MOntessori Chinese. I would reckon that they may use MOntessori principals and package it as MOntessori enrichment so that parents may buy the idea 😉

Hi, I don;t have any personal recommendations for montessori schools in that area but I'll be happy to 'clarify' any confusions you may have over MOntessori schools if you have questions 😉

after reading thru all i seem to have a rough idea but seems like all the montessoris are under different group like franchise & stuff & kinda difficult to find some webby or maybe not all have webby?

got a few recommendations from buds so will probably check those out first...all i can say is i've got loads of homework & research to do...

Hope you’ll find a good fit. Montessori is a method of teaching so when they say they are a MOtnessori school, it should mean that they will adopt the principles and teaching styles of Montessori method. This also means that they should have a good, comprehensive set. There are many schools that may say they do MOntessori, charge high fees but does not provide a full Montesori program. In Singapore I think MMI is the only one which has franchises. The other smaller-scale Montessori schools are usually privately run. They can be just as good and give a run for your money with the bigger establishments.
