      Hi A3,

Which centre are u referring to?

      A3:
The current, year 2009, principle is not well organized. Doing things in a
very messy way. She may be good in talking but no good in managing.
Previous staffs are better than the current ones.

In my personal opinion, the fee paid is not justifiable. Choose an average
fee childcare centre and save the extra money for other enrichment
programme over the weekends. Then you will see your child learn more
as more exposure. A child will pick up automatically when you expose
      him/her more.

Hi GarangMama, do u mean that for those on half-day programme there won't be enrichment programmes available?
Because most of the enrichment programmes are held only in the afternoons (after their naps), so those on half days will not be have these enrichment programmes.
Although you do have an option to have 'Extended Day Programme' for your kids to take part in these enrichment programmes, but when you add up the costs, you might as well put them in Full Day programme.
As far as I know, the cost difference between a FD and HD programme is between $150-$200 (after subsidies), so it's definitely more VFM to go for FD programme if you are keen on the enrichment programmes.
Recently Pat's is also offering 3 addtional 'modules' for their enrichment programme: IQ Maths (to be taught in Chinese), Swimming, and Music & Me (taught by qualified ex-Yamaha instructor), which is only offered to FD students at a subsidised cost. You might want to take these into consideration when deciding between FD and HD programme.
        Hope these help.
        Cheers!

Hi, are you referring to Children's Campus (pat school hse affiliate) at Cashew Rd? I've placed my child there for 2 yrs since she was 2 years old back then when the school was just newly set up for a few months. In terms of childcare services, it really gives me a peace of mind as the teachers are caring and even at times when you need to pick child's back late for reasons like traffic jam etc, they are willing to accomodate for another 15 to 20 mins late w/o any add'l charge. Center mgr is also an understanding man. On the whole, I'm pretty much happy with the services that they rendered. However, in terms of academic teaching, I personally feel that becos of the multi tasking that each teacher has to be in charge of, that leaves little room on this focus. At N1, N2 level I feel tat is not too big an issue. But as my girl progresses to K1, I've thus switched her to Kindergarten. Hrs are a lot shorter but at least I know those are the times devoted for academic drilling. Somehow after placing my child in kindy for 1 term, I feel kindy is a more suitable environment if no childcaring is needed.

Also children's campus charges is on the high side hence as parents, I expected more as well.

            Just my tots...

                      Hi Tatami

I had just changed my girl from MMI JW to Patโ€™s SH Arena. It has been a week and sheโ€™s doing fine. So far so good, the teacher in charge will update me curriculum n her well being either thru comm book or sms.

Hi everyone who has been to pat's school or odyssey:
I heard these 2 are under the same management.
Anyway, i know about Pat's so i wanted to find out more about odyssey.
So I went to the one at wilkinson. I walked through the front gate and wondered beside the field for quiet sometime but no one bothered. when i wanted to enter one of the door, i was refused!
when asked why, an indian expat lady (introduced herself as the centre director) said i must call for appointment! so arrogant! Met one of the parents going in and she told me the school has HFMD...
I tried calling but no one answered.
Can anyone give me any feedback on the one at alexandra?
