sean wife: if these are your concerns, it will be the best for you to discuss with your child’s teacher. Based on your experience with her, plus talking with other classmates’ parents you can see if enrichments are needed to fill up the hole. You can get to know other parents whom children are there at other levels so that you can take a look at their work.
Practice makes perfect so I still prefer to have a slot at ccc delicated for writing & reading at whichever languages esp K2 level conducted by a delicate teacher of course. -
Hi Shera,
Most likely we will be withdrawing them end of the year and putting them in kindy instead. I also prefer them to have more practice on their writing as I find that they can read much better than they can write which may or may not be a good thing…Maybe their motor skills are not as developed yet…
Hi qms,
Thanks for sharing your gal’s experience. I guess in your case, LSH may have just adopted the previous school curriculum… -

Hi May I know which centre your gilr is in?Hi sean wife!
If this is your concern, I guess LSH doesn't fare too badly. I am comparing LSH with another centre that my son attended, and I feel that LSH is better able to prepare the children for primary school compared to the other centre.
Again, this is based on my girl's centre. -

LSH is very aggressive in recruiting new students... lots of open house to attract students... there are better childcare around that area.... LSH is not the best afterall.. -

Dear ahahchew,
Thank you for your post. However, we have removed the contents of your post, not because we do not believe you, but because KiasuParents.com has a policy of not allowing members of a post count of less than 20 posts in our Forums to post negative views on product/service providers. This is to promote responsible reviews and avoid the situation where customers or business rivals sign up accounts on several forums just to bad mouth their competitors on the Internet.
We believe that reviews, good or bad, must come from people we are somewhat familiar with before they can be accepted. This is why we hope members will tell us more about themselves through their Forum posts so that we know they are real people.
However, we will not stop you from sharing your experiences privately via PM with other members even if your current post count is less than the required number.
In the same vein, we come down hard on product/service providers that sign up accounts to masquerade as customers to promote their own services. Such service providers will have all their accounts terminated and their services black listed on KiasuParents.com.
We take on these measures to maintain the integrity of reviews on KiasuParents.com so they are actually useful to people relying on them to make their purchase decisions. -
Any feedbacks on the LSH??
Intending to send my 3yr old princess there. Abit disappointed of no school bus yet… -
my gal (K2) has been attending LSH for almost 2 years. LSH does not believe in spelling and this caused my gal does not know basic spelling. v diappointed with the system.

sean wife: there are many english words which are unable to decode using phonics so spelling becomes a kind of field for the children to go through the words at least for once.
I don't wish my children to enter primary school to get a big shock over a different environment followed by ting xie & spelling... I still believed that these words can be part of the word bank which will help them in the composition in near future. It's simply useless to say yet unable to write those words out hence in my case, lsh amk is nothing but only good location. Seeing that teachers do not give extra coaching for the weaker students (K2) is enough for me to say that's it
