Thank u all.James Ang:
1. Heating the windscreen makes the windscreen's temperature higher than the temperature of surrounding water vapour so that condensation will not take place on the windscreen to make the windscreen blurry. Condensation takes place when water vapour touches a cooler surface.
2. To get water from the water vapour, I believe a cool surface needs to be formed using a waterproof sheet to collect water vapour that condenses overnight into a cup/container due to the temperature difference between cold nights and warmer early morning. This is similar to how dew is formed on leaves of plants in the morning.
3. Not sure what they ask in the exam but could the big elephant have bigger ears due to structural adaptation, to help cool down his bigger body, compared to the smaller elephant with smaller ears.
5. Could the nail have already been magnetised and stroking it one way will make it stronger while stroking it the opposite way will demagnetise the magnetic nail?[quote=\"jackaljaysen\"]
Hi James...I got 1 ans wrong...the dew concept .I just answered in this way..any mark will b gn?
Pluck leaf from the bushes in the forest n place them on the pile of the newspaper.USe the string to tie from one end of the bark to the other end and hang the palstic sheet over it. Place a stone on the plastic sheet so tht the dent is made. The leaves will transpire n produce water vapour tht will come in contact with the inner surface of the plastic sheet n condense 2 form water droplets.Collect these water droplets using the large leaf.(PS: Leaves were not gn as the aparatus to b used but it was mentioned tht it is in forest with only a towel , string, plastic sheet and newspapers..) -

What did ya'll put for the magnet question in pp2 and pp1 the question where there were 3 containers ,one with a plant ,one with carbon dioxide and the last one air ?

the one with plant is the least and the one with carbon dioxide is the most.
Decomposer question:
Apart from scavengers i put put in a warm place as it encouages the growth of decomposers on the leaf.
The elphant question:
A the environment is hot so more heat must be lost to keep itself cool .
B the environment is quite cool due to the trees thus if it lose alot of heat its body temperture will be lower than normal causing it to die.
A few in my school also found it easy. Yeah the question like the windscreen were asked by my teacher efore p5 for me and my few friends qho pestered him untill he gave us remedial after every friday

just want to share my ds answer to the decomposition question - add WORMS!!
(according to him, there was a similiar question in MCQ section)

My answer :tiggerthong1998:
What did ya'll put for the magnet question in pp2 and pp1 the question where there were 3 containers ,one with a plant ,one with carbon dioxide and the last one air ?

the one with plant is the least and the one with carbon dioxide is the most.
Decomposer question:

1) move the jar to a dark room
2) Put insects like earhtworm which will help in faster decomposition -
Am sure going to take my Kidz fr a overnight stay , camping, to have the real-life & hands on experience
Wat more to comment on how our city-bred kidz  answer for these kinda questions :?
Better late than never  -

Hi, for the question about how he should obtain water, I put that he should tie up some leaves in a plastic bag with the string. "coz the concept behind my answer is the same as the concept behind part (a). I believe that both answers should be related and most of the people I know put the answer above.

There is a similar concept as this in the PSLE specimen paper in the Five Year Series, question 39, so those students who did the Five Year series faithfully should be able to explain the concept right.

So happy for all PSLE pupils. HMT not critical for most. Kids can hit their favourite games now.

I am not sure if the leaves/leaf will transpire once it has been plucked :?
