There should be a mistake in the qn in the 2nd line:I need the solution for this question....
Mrs Lim bought 7/8kg of flour. She used 4/7kg of it to bake a cake and 3/8kg to make muffin. How much flour Mrs Lim is left with??
Anything near will help.
She used 4/7 of it i.e. 4/7*7/8=4/8=1/2kg to bake a cake and 3/8kg to make muffin
So total used = 4/8+3/8=7/8kg.
Ans: All flour used up, so no flour left.
Or She used 4/7kg (no such thing as 4/7kg of it) That's why can't do 7/8-4/7-3/8 (will get negative ans)

Hmm... I won't use models for such questions.... can use symbols or tablesHi, I need help in solving this question by using bar drawing method.
4 packets of biscuits and 3 packets of chips = $13.10
6 packets of biscuits and 12 packets of chips = $35.40
a) what is the price for a packet of chip?
Thanks in advance
By using symbols.... (Please note that there are many variations to this mtd... easier to get rid of B first)
4B 3C -> $13.10
6B 12C -> $35.40
12B 9C -> $39.30
12B 24C -> $70.80
15C -> $31.50
1C -> $2.10 (Ans)
or
4B 3C ->$13.10
6B 12C -> $35.40
16B 12C -> $52.40
10B -> $17
1B -> $1.70
4B -> $6.80
3C -> $13.10 - $6.80 = $6.30
1C -> $2.10 (Ans)
By using table...

Therefore, as a form of encouragement to all dedicated parents. I will be providing you help with questions that you have doubts on.
You may post the questions here/PM me or email me and I will try my best to solve it at soonest and post the question/answer here so other parents who have doubts on the same type of questions may help their kids too
(but please give me a day to assist you with your questions in case i do not read my mails)
Have a great day.
